Good luck in your search tho' LL
Alas........all houses are easy targets for burglars. If they are determined enough they will get in, no matter what kind of property, what location.
Having been burgled both in the U.K. And Spain, and having been pick pocketed and my bag snatched in several European cities, including London I am no stranger to crime and theft.
It's not worth getting hung up about. It happens.0 -

You soft southerners have no idea how to dress.;)

I have learned my lessons.........I try not to look like a tourist, I'm well insured and I have photographs and keep receipts of my treasures.
Only just before Christmas I photographed all my jewellery and treasures again.0 -
Have finally finished wading though dad's paperwork and have now passed it to his solicitors.
It's the funeral onFriday......have bought the frock:rotfl: so everything is done now. Will be glad when it's over and then life can get back to some semblance of normality.
I have decided to have a complete rest now. I will buy a house at some point but no immediate hurry. I am perfectly happy living with my son and he doesn't appear to be in any hurry to get rid of me. It's an arrangement that works well for both of us and we get on like a house on fire.
Funny that when you consider he was the more prickly and difficult child than his more easy going brother (and definately the nightmare teenager:rotfl:) But proud to say he has grown into a thoughtful and charming man who adores his beloved mama and who genuinely seems to like my company. This was the teenager who refused to be seen in public with me.....:rotfl:
Anyway I have decided to take time out and that this year is going to be something of a "Sabbatical" with lots of travel and fun stuff. If a business opportunity presents itself then fair enough but I'm not bothered about working this year.
Time to make a start on the bucket list......;)0 -

You obviously have a great family LL
I like the fact that you're just going with it . In a couple of weeks , things will get easier for you0 -
LL, that's good to hear. Time for you and your future/health etc. now.
May I suggest you give your self a week or so after Friday of chilling, coffee mornings etc. before you even begin to contemplate your "bucket list" (awful Americanism).
There again, I feel a cruise coming up...
Whatever you decide, my very best wishes for your future health and happiness.0 -
Well i have got my first cruise coming up in May.......:D.....Baltic and st Petersburg - the latter being on the bucket list. So only just over 3 months to wait.
I aim to use this time to lose some weight and improve my fitness, maybe take some dance lessons.
Next Week I will definitely be chilling. Hoping to see La La Land. Right now Just Going to watch Streetcat named Bob with a glass of something medicinal.0 -
