    You're back :T

Well done on getting back to yoga - I have never managed that as I've never been very "bendy". I think I'm more suited to strength-type exercises, or just working in the field like the peasant I am.
More properties will turn up in the next couple of weeks- you'll see. Just hope there are no bagpipe-paying meeces living next door. Good idea to check out Bournemouth/Weymouth. I love Bournemouth - seemed to have a real cultural "buzz" about the place last time I was there. Sadly couldn't afford to buy there for what I would like.

well done on cracking on the flat viewing.

I suspect nothing in your price bracket will be as nice as the flat you staying in at first - maybe time to lower expectation?

    Good luck :)
  • Thanks dreaming and Anna .
The 'yoga' was a shock . Inflexible is more the term I would use.
Same again tomorrow and every other day, until I'm more bendy.

I don't expect to get anything as good as this flat for the money.
Probably more like the Ashley road flat I saw last Monday .
May get a happy medium . Que clairvoyant jokes ..

Cue getting a clue about the merits of freehold houses over flats... It really might be time to begin exploring pastures new, AC, within the Weymouth/Bournemouth area, perhaps but just consider the long term, maybe? How many times do you want to move? I know what it is like to be in love with a post code and to be forced to move from it. Your move will be nothing like that horrible wrench because it will be from choice... So make the right one for you, or not; your choice.

Yes tomorrow, Wednesday, would be a good day to take a ride to Weymouth. According to the BBC it should be bright and sunny.
  • Not so . I had to go back for my brolly . Maybe tomorrow .
Woke up early again . Felt comfortable , just going back to sleep , then bang - thump - crash ! Flat opposite having a window replacedby the look of it . This was 8.10am I got up.
Landlady calls . She'll be coming over with someone . She's changing mgt company .
So no yoga until the evening .

That's a shame. I was talking about Weymouth weather though not Poole.
  • AC, I know you've had the comments on flats over house

    but....

you seem to notice a lot of noise etc and are disturbed a lot by people in the flats around you - maybe another reason that a house is more suitable?
  • Wouldn't think there'd be much difference tbh harz. Rain only lasted about 2 mins . I'm in awakward situation today anyhow ( landlady etc).
May do tomorrow . Got an email from Austin Wyatt . Supposedly lovely 1 bed for sale . Open to offers . No attachment , so I did a google search .
Service charges very high . I may view out of curiosity , but that's about all. Staying calm and focused ..

Thanks Anna . Good point .
Believe it or not , it was me who needed / needs adjusting .
The noise isn't that bad . It was just a case of me being used to upstairs maisonettes tbh.
Btw: there is one for sale in upper parkstone . Not sure about the entrance tho'. I'll walk up there today or tomorrow and do my own investigation .
