Welcome home, harz.:hello:
Fwiw, I agree about Quit II but it is, of course, up to you, AC.0 -
So,rain today . Said to myself , I'll have a lazy day in .
( despite the fact I woke up at 4am). Feeling groggy and breathless .
This could be due to me cutting one of my prednisolone tablets in half .
( two 5mg tablets . Instructed to reduce from 10 mg to 7.5mg)
Odd job man is hovering around today . Parked his van outsider me kitchen window / exit from my flat.
Ordered prescription online , but also called surgery to make appt with doctor for next Monday .
Then I had to give a meter reading to utility warehouse , as the previous one was incorrect despite me giving it to adviser.
On my hands and knees , daytime reading ok. But the night time reading is nowhere to be found . Took lots of photos . Waiting for email from them so I can send all readings .
So annoying .
I didn't go to the viewing on sat . Meridian estate agents. Not keen on them
They asked me to look at property on fri( for sat ). We agreed 10 am
They called me back and changed it to 2.45
They never sent details via email . So no pictures .
They phoned this morning while phone was charging . I may phone them .
However I have a viewing tomorrow for another flat in the same street as I saw on sat.
Glad I'm not working in London today . Tube strike0 -
Ooh AC, you missed a corker of a commute to work today with the tube strike. It was mayhem. The roads around here were so busy with lots of shouting going on! I did smile thinking of you in your warm new surroundings, not having any of this to concern yourself with.
Good luck with the viewing tomorrow. MT0 -

Hello muffin
Using southwest trains would've been ok. However, Waterloo & city line not working , plus I would've been doing the late shift.
Yes , I would've been angry
You must remember to take sickie when next strike is announced:)0 -
Today, I had intentions of starting daily brisk walks . Still not well enough tbh . There is a caretaker / handyman who appears at 8.25 and is banging and thumping . No chance of a lie in . Still, at least he's getting things done and if I was working , it wouldn't bother me .
Still I suppose I'm on a break, so shouldn't rush things and take my time.
One of those properties I saw on sat, is under offer. Things move fast .
I'm half waiting to see if that flat the landlady is mentioning will be available to view soon. Trying not to panic, but not sure how long I have to seal something ..0 -

Don't hang around waiting for landlady to suggest something - you need to be getting out there and hunting yourself, will also be a great way to get to know areas around you.
Why not go for an afternoon stroll, doesn't need to be brisk but some exercise is better than none..
Hope you start to feel better soon0 -
Very true Anna
I'm beginning to get more familiar with a lot more now .
The flu is almost gone . My next plan of action is brisk walks , followed by yoga daily . The yoga will be done via you tube , ( I used to do this 2 years ago before Hosp.)and I believe there is enough room in the living room to do it .
I'm looking at one bedrooms as well as 2 property wise. Eventually , it should all click together0 -

And houses???? Still don't understand the willingness to pay service charges, but each to their own etc.
Lovely bright day here, although cold - just what we need to clear those flu bugs away. I suggested to DD that we went for a walk as we both need to get more active but apparently I'm really annoying as I walk too slowly. So won't be joining you on any brisk walks, and if I got down on the floor to do yoga I probably wouldn't get up. So gentle walks will have to suffice for me until I can get back in gardening mode.
Slowly working way through cheese stocks but no biscuits, sweeties or cola in the house. One (slow) step forward.:rotfl:0 -
Hi again everyone. I am recovering from a succession of tricky things, including a flare of my auto immune swine. Christmas started as it meant to continue, with daughter up all night 24th/25th with child with ear infection, then a chunk of 25th at the out of hours clinic.
AC - a couple of prednisolone thoughts. The two consultants I trust the most insist that reducing the dose must never be more than 10%. So from 10mg down to 9 for a month, then 8 etc. 10 to 7.5 is too big a drop, and is complicated by 7.5 being what the body produces naturally, so it's the dose that most confuses the adrenal system. A big reduction makes you feel even more rubbish than 'normal'.
And.........both 5mg and 2.5 pills are available with enteric coating, which can't be cut, but which protect the stomach. Worth requesting them. 1mg pills don't have the coating.
Hope I haven't sent you to sleep!0
