    Hi,

I doubt payplan can negoatiate a better deal than you could yourself, but if you think they might do, then by all means try them.

Your only problem is you have to provide the funds to them first.

If your happy to do that, give it a go !!!

I haven't read through this whole thread but I thought I would let you know my experience of moving out of London. I sold my house last year because I was on interest only and the mortgage was coming to an end this year and I had no way of paying it off. I sold it and had enough money to buy something further out (50 miles north) and if I could I would move back in a flash but property prices in London are just too far out of my reach unless I want to downsize - that was my option originally but my husband and I didn't want a smaller house. I love my new house but just wish it was in London!

    :j :j

  • Thanks sourcrates & five year .
Sourcrates , I expected refusals .Hopefully, the other creditors will be a it more generous. I'll keep everyone posted .
Five year : sorry you miss London so much . That's the thing about moving from London . A lot of it is ,how far ?
So far ,I'm happy to escape from London . Never thought I'd say that .
Although it's hurting me more financially ,I don't want to move anywhere else than where I am at the moment.
Just thought : you probably won't see this .

Other news: Amazon delivery yesterday . CDs delivered to my neighbour.
I was out . No answer today . I put a note in their door.
Reason is ,the person who signed is jame bond I kid you not .
    I would've thought neighbour would've let me know .
May have to contact Amazon tomorrow to complain

That's not a bad counter-offer from PRA group, but it would be better to see what the other creditors say, and get some more advice.
Pain about the CDs going to neighbours - hope you get them today.

Spent most of yesterday "bunged up" and with sore eyes - a result no doubt of disturbing the dust under the bed. :o Will have to annoy the cat again and get the vacuum cleaner out - he hates it with a vengeance so that is why I don't vacuum under the bed that often (well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it). 2 and "a bit" bags of decorations etc. for charity shop, and I must get some cards written today. Seem to have lost track of the days recently and couldn't work out yesterday whether it was 2 or 3 weeks till Christmas. Oh well, it always all gets done.
  • Thanks dreaming :)
Hope you get well soon. Cat sounds great.
Got CDs from a lovely neighbour this morning. Had a quick chat.:)

Wasn't too sure what to expect from p r a , or the other creditors to be honest. If I. Can save between £5-10 k on these offers, then I consider it a result . I sounded a bit negative with my last couple of posts, but I feel the opposite . Just a bit worried I suppose, with more means testing.
However, if the other offers are ok, I may not have to go down that road any more.
Miserable day outside, but I did my slow plod in the gym and I joined the doctors in the area. Apparently , they have a very good reputation .

May look at a couple of properties, and see what they're like .
Then again, I'm probably better of leaving it till after xmas, and give myself a break .
Hope everyone's having a good day

Hi AC. It's a miserable day here too. So dark and dismal - never mind it will soon be the Solstice......time for a bit of bacchanalia :rotfl: then the days start to lengthen again.

Meanwhile the cat has gone into semi hibernation......he only wakes up to eat. :rotfl: what a great life.

I noticed quite a few nice properties have suddenly appeared on RM round this neck of the woods over the last few days. So you never know you might just spot "the one".

Yes, AC, I would not stop looking on RM, all it takes is time; I suppose you do have daily email alerts set up for any new properties within your criteria, should they appear?

How's this for a non-sequitur? AC, during your time in Twickenham, did you ever encounter an electrician whom you would highly recommend? I imagine all such stuff was dealt with by the management company but it seems decent tradespeople in West London are like rocking horse faeces. I know of two excellent electricians but doubt they fancy trekking down to the Smoke for several days. Someone of my cyber-acquaintance requires such urgently, having been left in the aforementioned (not from a rocking horse) substance by the one he engaged.

Any assistance you might render (he'll be needing some of that after a rewire) would be appreciated.

Refreshingly, I have no strong opinions either way on Bob Dylan, though I doubt Dr. King would have just stayed in his church without him. Like "Everything is Broken", dislike "Knocking".

Just tell your co-residents to "quit bugging you, man" :D be they human or otherwise.
  • Thanks folks.
Yes, I get alerts daily ( more than one:)) from right move .
    Always looking.
Smodlet, I won't tell you what my brothers mate does. Having said that, he lives in cambeley .
Electricians are so hard to come by . Always in demand.
I would thinks, the rated people website is the way to go.
Hope you get somewhere with it . If I think of something I will p m you

How very kind, AC, thank you. I have suggested my friend start a thread asking for recommendations; after all, if they are PM'ed it is hardly advertising.
