  • I did as I was told and increased my pred for the dental challenge (reduced today) and just wanted to say again that steroid insomnia is like nothing else.

I remember that vividly Wendy. I had to take high dose of prednisolone last year for Bells Palsy, 12 tablets reducing by 2 tablets a day for 10 days. I don't think I slept for the first three days. It felt like an army of ants were running through my bloodstream. My brother has MS and was prescribed prednisolone last week for a bad relapse he has just had and he said the same. Chronic insomnia. I assume if you take it all the time though eventually you get used to it.

I wish I could say I have got used to what happens when I have to increase the dose. I'm sort of OK on 10mg, but I can't remember a 'normal' night's sleep.

I have been pursued by earworms for years, but the ants get into my brain as well Doesn't help decision making, does it?
  • So, I had a great sleep,(9pm-3.10'pm) .
Then the overthinking starts. Tired now . Just had a call from Vodafone for their broadband . I've just committed to £22 per month.
Only trouble with that is, my address has now been changed to the place I move into tomorrow .
Then again, I won't be telling lies when I make settlement offers.
I may put the old address down as that's what they have on the system .
    Not sure .
Gotta see the landlady of the house today, pay 5 months rent upfront and
then write the letters. (Can't printb&save stuff on iPad , plus computer in storage).
I have all the Acct.nos, plus addresses to send to creditors.
    Best get ready .

Good morning AC. Glad you slept well. Could your friend not lend you some time on his computer, perhaps?
  • Why not pop down to the local library - they usually give an hour free of internet access per day. Plus you can print (for a small fee) whatever you need to.

  • Thanks folks. I've sent friend txt, who is at work.
Library? Too long a process to join imho.
Only question is : old address or new address on letter?
    Thanks

New address definitely, but referencing your old address.

Although I am not in any debt, since my youngest admitted the extent of her debts (and being on a dmp) I have learned a great amount over the last year from the debt free threads on this site. I have offered to help her to pay some of the debt off but she is determined to do it herself although it does mean she often works weekends as well as a full week and still has a couple more years to go.

Anyway, with only 3 creditors the letter writing won't be too onerous. There are some good template letters to copy on the Debt Free on some of the threads too.
Hope the meeting with landlady goes well.

New address definitely but say when it is effective from. Your address has no bearing on your dmp. It is simply a way of them corresponding with you.

It takes no time at all to join the library AC. You may need to show id.

  • Also I would get your computer out of storage as you will have quite a few letters to write over the next few months. I know I would not be without my laptop for 6 months. You can't do things like letter writing on an ipad and I hate the numbers application and would rather use excel for my budget spreadsheets. You could email your letters to your friend and ask him to print them out for you or use the library printer.

I have put my old address on letters . Not posted them yet.
Will put new address underneath ,and write c/o:
I wrote that I acquired mg,and that my employers were not very suppportive ,leading me to terminate my contract of employment and am looking for somewhere cheaper to live .
Will let you know how much I offered later.

Was about 10 mins late seeing landlady , but she was cool and everything
seems like it will be ok fingers crossed .
The jeans I got last weekend are falling off me.
There is a big hill to walk to the flat .

Tomorrow is when my life should change in a different direction .
    We'll see
    Thanks
