Skint and scared0

And soon to be a man of means, by no means skint anymore!0

When my daughter moved from Norfolk to Yorkshire the removal company were the most helpful she encountered in the whole difficult business.
They were flexible, including about payment.0 -
Thanks folks.
Judging by my solicitors tone ( and the late email), it seems a little doubtful if tomorrow is the day for completion after all.
The contract and deposit are not with the buyers solicitor yet.
I really really want to hand my notice in tomorrow .0 -
I am sorry about hiccups at this stage - as if it all wasn't stressful enough.
Thinking thoughts for a night's sleep.0 -
Tomorrow was never going to be completion, dude, but exchange... I seriously hope your buyers actually have the deposit to send to their solicitor. I really hate to put a dampener on things but I would be girding my loins at this point, while remaining calm and focused on the prize, just like a certain Nietzschean. :cool:0

Hi AC. I feel for you, going through the same thing, one great advantage you have is your solicitor is excellent at communicating with you.
We were supposed to exchange today but I got an email saying "tried to exchange but your buyers haven't signed contract and their cheque for deposit hasn't cleared" To say I was furious was an understatement. Try to stay calm (I didn't manage it!) - if they don't sign tomorrow ask for a definite date when they will.[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Bless you both, copperjar and AC. Let's hope these are but annoying hiccups and nothing more. The cavalier attitude of some people beggars belief.
Thinking thoughts atcha both. Hope you don't mind, wendym?0 -

My god copperjar! I can't believe we are both at the same point.
I'm rooting for you . I will do just that, as you said,
Hoping they won't pull out in the meantime.
I may call chase Buchanan once more, to let them know the score.
Sorry to repeat myself again , but I have 2 things going: to make sure they do exchange tomorrow , and then find the money from somewhere to proceed and find a solution to stay somewhere.
If the exchange happens, that's the key.
The man of the couple , may be out of the country again , hence their solicitor waiting.
My solicitor : this is the third time I have used him . He was initially based in the west end (1997). Then ,14 years ago was in Bloomsbury
Now , he is not far from St. Paul's . If ever you need him, I can send you his details.
Hope you get there.
Me? I'm still contemplating doing something very dangerous and resigning today anyway. It's 2.30 am0 -
One other thing: If they do not exchange tomorrow, I will tell them 'exchange by 11th, or property back on the market with different estate agent.'
It gives them the option, and although painful will mean that I won't lose much else.0
