  • Smodlet - I called them many things . That's probably not what you meant.
I actually did call them twice last week.2 branch visits.
Will leave £5 in each of the 3 accounts I have and forget about them.

    A good day..on train home .
Did I mention 1 day to go? :)
  • While munching away at my dinner, I noticed my mobile phone ringing..
It's my solicitor. Heart attack !He told me completion and exchange are on course.
(tomorrow and 18th of this month ).
He was checking to make sure I was okay to go ahead, as he knows I have nowhere to go/ no removal booked etc.
I told him all is fine .
He told me that, we were doing the running and ( in my words) , the buyers are too laid back about it.
I suspect it's because the male buyer is out of the country a lot of the time.
(This is why they were slow making the offer).
I must say, so far the buyers seem like nice people and I want to make it as smooth as possible for all concerned.
A thought did strike me after the phone call, whether to exchange tomorrow and complete on the last Friday of October because of financial hardship. That may make me look indecisive , so I will stick to the 18th as stated last week .wish me luck :)

Exciting times ahead AC, be gracious when you hand in your notice and tell everyone you are moving to Poole - someone may know someone who needs a part time worker next year.......... Be excited and positive, keep all your negative thoughts about how you were treated for your exit interview.

As for Coathangergate, won't you need them in your new place? I'd be inclined to leave them for the new owners.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Ah, but would that constitute vacant possession, GG? :D If AC's possessions were still hanging around?

    Thanks gally :)
I could leave some of the nicer coat hangers in the wardrobes.
    Great idea! Thanks
Regarding the notice going in tomorrow, my boss isnt in . It will have to go to the h r guy directly, who,is part time .

Looking at taking a short term loan 2-3 weeks max.
Seems mad, but if I can get it, I could secure a place before it's too late. Looking at max £2-2,500. Just for deposit /1st month payment and removal, cost.
  • Trying to find out if I can get a shortbterm loan , while on a dmp
    Now ,worried
Wondering if I could complete on the 30th , but exchange tomorrow ...

AC, try starting a new thread titled " On DMP but need a short term loan until house sold - where from?"

AC, regarding your notice - can you do a proper resignation letter on Word or similar and email it as an attachment to both boss and HR person tomorrow, as soon as you hear exchange has happened.

Then you can hand your sealed and signed copy in for boss/HR to open when they next come in, and it will still have been served tomorrow.
  • Thanks Harz - just did something similar, in the loans section .
Regarding notice- yes I can :)

For once in my life, I will have to be devious tomorrow. Giving in my notice, once my colleague has left for the day .

Great news AC and Gally makes a good point - be nice when you hand in your notice - you just never know!
