Great news AC and Gally makes a good point - be nice when you hand in your notice - you just never know!

    Well said Mrs. P :)
TBH , I'm full of jubilation regarding my prolonged escape.
I've shown a few friends a template of my resjignation letter.
    It's so, so,polite . (My usual self:)

I won't say much at the exit interview , unless they provoke a reaction. Bear in mind my disciplinary issue .
I'll just say 'no comment' etc. Politely, and ask to go next Friday :)

Thanks Harz - just did something similar, in the loans section .
Regarding notice- yes I can :)

For once in my life, I will have to be devious tomorrow. Giving in my notice, once my colleague has left for the day .

Okay, if you get no useful response re a loan, can your brother help as I reckon he must owe you for the time he spent at yours?

    Well Harz ..
He is selfish, and he behaves like someone with learning difficulties.
He keeps reminding me of everything he has done for me, and wants to goad me into a response. There is no grey area for him. Just black or white.
    Short answer.. No!:)

Perhaps your remover would be willing to submit your invoice direct to your solicitor for payment direct from the proceeds, obviously you would need to instruct your solicitor to do this.

I think you should be thinking in terms of removal to storage for a month or so anyway, cos I doubt that in your circumstances you'll manage to make all the arrangements in 14 days.

Would your friends in Poole accommodate you untill you're at least in possession of the net proceeds, then hotel/b&b until rental arranged?

Just received an email from solicitor.
The buyers solicitors are not holding a signed copy of the contract.
They do not have the full deposit monies on account either.
They are in the process of sending funds, and their solicitors should be in receipt of funds hopefully by tomorrow . The buyers will try to send the signed contract by tomorrow. 'So we still might be able to exchange tomorrow, but we will keep you updated accordingly.'

This gave me the chance to ask my solicitor for exchange tomorrow, with completion preferred on the 25 Nov.
If not, then the 18th, but I insisted on exchange tomorrow.
Hopefully , I've done the right thing there .
Oh, my solicitor leaves at 1pm tomorrow, although his deputy will take care of things.
    Hope it all comes together.

If I use my brothers friend, all will be well.
If I complete on the 25th , things may be easier for me .

AC - if you don't work between now and end of current tax year you could be due a tax rebate.
Try putting your info into https://listentotaxman.com
Will not help current cashflow though
