  • Just thought of something more and more impending:
    My job !
It looks like the best thing , is to ask to go asap.
Tomorrow is weds . 9 days before the last Friday of October .
    It is also payday . (28th October ) .
Obviously , I can't give my notice in until I hear from solicitor .
I would think that the 28th is when I will be going.
If not, Friday 4th November .

    We'll see
  • Hi AC. Why are you praying for enough time to complete? You can take control of that and suggest some dates. If you need two weeks between exchange and completion (I would say with your list of jobs/notice at work/finding flat to rent - two weeks is the minimum) then tell your solicitor that so he can tell the buyers. If you want three weeks suggest that!

You seem to be waiting for fate/someone else to make the decisions. I've already told my solicitor I'd like to exchange ASAP but can't complete until 10th November. She is passing that message on to my buyer and my vendor and we will hopefully all agree. Please try to be proactive with this to make things easier on yourself.

  • As you are top of the chain and you have first time buyers you only have to agree with them which is a real bonus not to be in a large chain. I would say you want a reasonable amount of time between exchange and completion because you need to organise somewhere to rent. It is not up to the solicitors but you and the other party. The only thing I would say to you is removal companies are more expensive near the end of the month and a Friday in particular. Try to complete on a Thursday or Wednesday if you are able to.

    Thanks :)
    I've had ( another ) sleepless night.
I think 2 weeks is adequate . May ask for 3 , but I'll see what buyers say. This means possibly the first week of November .
This should give me enough time to sort everything out .
I may well call chase Buchanan and tell them that this morning.

I've just finished a rough notice letter of resignation to my employers .
    It's 2.50 am . I normally wake up at 5am.
  • Feeling groggy, tired and horrible today.
May phone chase Buchanan this morning, if I don't receive a call beforehand.
Still , I am in work and getting on with it and am doing the eary shift .
    Not all bad
