LL, if you really want to throw money to the four winds of chance, how about throwing some eastwards? :D:D:D

P.S. Thanks for the back up on that other thread. It is great that we can agree on some things and disagree on others and still be friends; that means a lot to me. Ain't met too many real people in my life but you are one of the few I have met on here. Mila and I are totally opposed on some fundamental issues but still like and respect each other.
  • No problem my deario.

I was joking about the casino - although my dearly beloved and I used to indulge in the occasional little flutter.

(Only a tiny one though). :rotfl:

LL, I thought you'd found your perfect pad, or have I misunderstood? :)

    Hi there....

Yes Candy.....there was patch of communal garden shared by 19 houses (each house also had its own private garden). it could have been lovely but it was rather neglected. The ea kept fobbing me off about the maintenance so I quizzed the vendor. There was no,proper maintenance agreement in place, just a couple of "volunteers"

When pressed she admitted she was one of the volunteers together with one neighbour but he had just moved out and had put a tenant in.

So that would have probably meant I would be the only person interested in keeping the gardens nice. Discretion is the better part of valour.....so I withdrew my offer.

I note it has .now been taken off the market so yourvguess is as good as mine.

Hey ho onwards and upwards. Shame because in all other respects I loved it - perfect small city pad but still a house and not a flat.

I have seen something else but it's right at the top of my budget. It is a bit bigger though with enough space to run a business business from home.. I'm mulling it over.

I am waiting for some investments to mature (November) and I am off to Barcelona for two weeks at the beginning of November so I might just hang fire till I get back.

    There's no real hurry.
  • Smodlet.....maybe a little less Capn Poldark for you.........:rotfl: it be catching, it be.

Although I admit 'e baint be too bad to look at........although My preferred eye candy was Rufus Sewell. (Lord Melbourne in the new Queen Victoria production). But as she has now wedded and bedded Albert it was bye bye Lord M. And bye bye Rufus.

Won't be worth watching now. Albert is a right wet blanket.....:rotfl:

If there is a serious sub-text in your post, Candygirl, I can only say I am so glad I'm too innocent to understand it... :D

And, I'll have you know, I am not so fickle. For a start, he's too hairy and I am still utterly devoted to Tyr Anasazi... atm.
