Daily interest is down by 4p and I've received £139 back from gas and electricity credit now that I've swapped providers. Haven't turned the heating on yet this year so hopefully the bills will stay low!
OH and I bought our joint xmas present for each other (ps4) during the black sunday weekend, so that was a good £70 cheaper than we we would have bought it for otherwise. Also remembered to use quidc0 when doing my t€sco shop last week and when buying a birthday present for my brother. These are all little baby steps I would perhaps not have taken before
Dad is staying with me for the next two weeks so that will be a bit pricier than usual as I'd want to get the tube pass for him and treat him to nice food whilst he's here.
Got my bonus chat with the boss today which I'm nervous about but hopefully it'll be okay. If not, I got contacted by three recruiters yesterday alone so I have a few calls set up for this afternoon just in case!Mortgage Oct '20: £615k

Yay for the interest reduction. It all counts. And well done for no heating yet. I have put ours on a handful of times so far as it's getting a bit nippy lol.
Good luck with the bonus chat.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -

It certainly seems to! My online account shows a month on month drop every time I've OP'd, which is really motivating even if it's just pennies when broken down to daily interest.
Ha do you game LiL?Got Nathan Drake uncharted and fifa 16 included with the console and I'd bought a pre-owned version of the last of us as well as it's one of my favourites. Got Witcher 3 and last year's AC Unity coming through next week as well - all pre-owned of course so some of the games are only £10. Will buy the new AC once prices have dropped a bit.

Thanks lippy!
The flat is super warm actually so I keep having to open windows to air it out! I think it's a combo of new flat (well insulated), being on the top floor and thus soaking up every one else's heat and being south facing :T
Bonus chat went really well - bonus itself is down £100 from last year but is still a good 12% of my salary and I got a nice pay rise which will see me bring in £400 extra per month! :j Just came off the phone with a recruiter regarding a role that would give me another £500/month on top of that pay rise though...Mortgage Oct '20: £615k

I work in Risk for a FTSE100 investment management company, so the pay is good but the work isn't exactly fun/exciting or rewardingMortgage Oct '20: £615k

Hello!
Well done on your OPs so far.
I have Uncharted 1-2 at home waiting for me to play them - I got stuck in a section about 30min in and kept dying so gave up for...the last year? Haha.
You'll love Serial (assuming you're not done already!) - such great storytelling. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with season 2.0 -

Lovely, well done, you must have felt Christmas has came early for you:T:D,
this is what I mean with everyone having the same goal, it just the journey that's different, some use RR others use a bike:rotfl:
Please think of me while I try to decide what to do with my £300:D pay rise, but won't get too carried away - i've tax and NI to come off that as well:rotfl::rotfl:Oh, and that's for the year and I don't get any bonus, just go in early and stay late and not get paid for it:(Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

Serial is amazing - I'm on episode 9 or 10 now and am in shock about the American justice system. I hope the reopened case on Adnan leads to something!
As for Uncharted - it's a bit repetitive/linear but I'm quite enjoying it anyway. The challenge is not playing it now until my exams are over next week!A_Frayed_Knot wrote: »Lovely, well done, you must have felt Christmas has came early for you:T:D,

Ah I'm sorry if it feels like I'm rubbing it in people's faces AFK - I shall refrain from numbers in the future. Just bear in mind those are very skewed for London City salaries and that I live in a shoebox that cost 350k in an area where someone got stabbed to death just the other weekMortgage Oct '20: £615k
