Our vehicle age limit for personal breakdown cover is 15 years old and younger.

For vehicle breakdown cover, it depends on which of our partners you go for.  Call Assist have an unlimited age restriction, other providers offer up to 21, 25 or 30 years.

Most new cars don't have spare wheels, only the foam cans. On reading the small print for a few breakdown insurance policies there seems to be exclusions or stating extra charges if you have a breakdown.

Hi - I've just put my car's details into your website and got a quote for £67.72 which I'm happy with, but my car is 18 years old - it looks like what you're saying above is that you have a limit of 15 years for vehicle age - have I read that right? But my quote on your webpage has no mention of this and I've put in my personal details and it's asking me to buy. Also I can't see anywhere whether this policy would cover any driver. Apologies if I'm being dumb and missing this info somehow, but can you let me know. Ta.

I think you might be misreading it ???
Says they won't offer assistance if you are NOT carrying the stuff you are supposed to have. It used to just say spare wheel but as you say things have changed.

Thanks for getting in touch. 
After you've selected personal rather than vehicle breakdown cover (there's a tab at the beginning of the quote where you can do this), once you click "get quotes", in the provider table you should see a column that says "Vehicle Age Limit" and you can see that for almost all our partners it's under 16 years.  So if your car exceeds that age, you won't be able to receive assistance if you purchase that policy.
However, we have recently welcomed the AA and RAC to our partner list, and they don't currently have vehicle age limits for personal breakdown cover, so you could select them in our provider list if your vehicle is 18 years old.

If you're more interested in just vehicle cover, we can cover you under the standard Eversure product in vehicles up to 20 years of age.

I used CDC last year as I had an older car. Broke down and the service was superb. A hire car free for about a month, taxi fares paid to the airport to pick up and return the car. The they sorted everything, kept in touch and were very very helpful.

We are with CBC (Eversure Gold) since 2019 and although never needed to use them (we own Toyotas) they applied the same 15% MSE discount on the second and now the third year. Well done CBC.

This is a personal UK cover with all the trimmings for both me and my wife for £39.99/year.

I had a VERY poor experience - I clicked on the link on your webiste, filled in all the details of the singel Europe trip I wanted to take, then got quotes. RAC was £34 ish. I then wanted to buy that, so I clicked ont ehh link to buy it - it took me to the main RAC website with NONE of the details I'd entered - so I had to get a quote there and it was £95!!! Not at all impressed

We do provide you with the starting rates of RAC but as the quotes are fully built on their website, it is not the final premium.

This is the reason why you will see “From £xxx” rather than a confirmed amount on our comparison table and that we also advise with the quote that prices will vary with vehicle age and destination. The price displayed for RAC is often based on a vehicle under 1 year old and for travelling to France, as indicated.

You do have to enter your details on RAC’s website as they will offer more options with their up-to-date rates for your vehicle’s age and destination, they will then confirm to you what is available based on the different details taken.

Just taken up Eversure Gold with CDC on a personal basis. Looks good value and hopefully if I ever need help they will come through. I was with Autoaid but no longer need the spouse cover.
