Been with more than for years and take their all singing top one. Pay £55 Can't find anyone to beat this. Nor their car insurance. I still haggle with them every year and they come up trumps to beat whatever i quote.1

I took advantage of the Auto Aid deal to purchase breakdown cover. The next day, I contacted Auto Aid to request a change to the start date of the coverage. They told me there was a £15 fee for any changes, and that insurance policies are not included in the 14-day cooling-off period protection for online purchases. Does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks.0

Apologies, I've found the answer in Citizens Advice. Insurance is covered under the 14-day cooling off period. I called Auto Aid again and spoke with a difference advisor, who was very apologetic and immediately changed the start date on my policy with charge.0

Hi all, I just got a quote from Eversure for £27.66 to insure my vehicle rather than myself. I don't drive any other vehicles, so this seems like a superb deal. However Martin doesn't mention it in the article, which makes me nervous.
So I presume I'm missing something here. Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't go for this?0 -

I don't know if this has been mentioned so I thought I'd let you know that AutoAid has changed it's renewal policy.
Instead of you needing to manually renew, they have now changed to auto renew.
In some instances this may be a good thing, though I like to renew manually.
You can, of course, opt out of the auto renew but only if you received the correspondence informing you that this would happen.
It should, in my opinion, be opt in. Unless they receive confirmation that you have read and are happy with the change they should not be allowed to withdraw funds.

I had a minor issue with auto-aid in november when they claimed their database showed my car had no mot (it did and it was shown on dvla database).
it was inconvenient to get the proof and caused delay whilst I was broken down (alone). Luckily I had coverage and my phone battery held out.
i am waiting for their response.
otherWise 1 successful rescue and 1 recovery although both took a bit longer than ideal.
anyone concerned could put pics of their mot on their phone.0 -
