Ryanair prices very high

  • I noticed this year the prices for flights to Spain during September were a lot higher than they were in 2014, seems the Tunisia and now Egypt crisis has meant people are staying away from those countries and sticking with the 'safer' European Med resorts, so prices are reflecting the new demand.

I read the other day that Spain and Italy etc visitor numbers have risen considerably this summer compared to previous years.

The prices are dropping on the dates we are looking for, however they have increased the luggage cost !!
  • I think there is a big problem with the new Ryanair beta website. I have tracked flights to various destinations on the old site and they used to change prices every Tuesday from 11am, prices would go up or down depending on what month it was and when you were travelling. If travelling in May then flight prices tended to be cheap from around the end of November to the end of February before rising sharply. They then fell during a couple of weeks in April before going sharply up again. I think they used to track other companies flights to the same destinations and price accordingly. The new beta site does not appear to do this at this time, whether it will do after they sort it out I dont know (I cannot use the new website using an Android smartphone or tablet, and only certain computers I use can log into the new site successfully for a brief time).

I am by no means an expert on IT related matters so perhaps this is way off but I doubt the website itself has anything to do with the regulation of prices.

You might be better playing with the system as you might find 2 would be on reduced price as it often goes up for different numbers. You also might be better booking the flights seperately as for the return you'll pay euros, which even with the fee for a credit card if you pay on a halifax card you'll get the better exchange rate so it will be a lot cheaper. Id also second bag sharing too

An update we decided to take the plunge last Friday and booked for Lanzarote for all of the family.
I looked today and I cannot belief it they have increased the price by another £180,it's obvious the issues around certain parts of the world are making people change their holiday routines
