Thursday is the main changeover day for Lanzarote
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

which is some rise, any ideas why it has raised so much ?

What answer could anyone give you that would either make you feel better or would change the price ryanair are asking? bottom line is the flights are what they are and the only way around it is to book on a different day, or book with another carrier
Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right

Just make sure you open a new incognito browser window every time you go to the RA site and don't use any saved bookmarks to get there.

Monarch are 142 from LGW on 15th for 2 weeks. Late afternoon flight.
Nothing to stop you flying out with 1 airline, back with another either.
I would defo share luggage too. 1 between 2

It's not a ransom. It's the price they (and their very sophisticated yield management systems) feel their service is worth at the moment. They are flying from your local airport on the dates you want. And you yourself have said you much prefer their flying times. So perhaps that's the premium worth paying over the alternatives (which there are a few).

All that said, this far out with Ryanair I would expect those prices to fall. But then again what do I (or anyone else here) know what Ryanair's revenue management formula will come up with between now and then?
