Hi everyone
Managed to keep myself busy today without spending an absolute fortune although it has been a bit tight this close to payday. Went into the town close to where my physio appointment was and bought some fleece material and bargain bits for Christmas hampers. Spent the rest of the afternoon making a tie fleece blanket that ds has promptly claimed for himself, but I think will be a good birthday present for my niece, whose birthday is 2 days before Christmas - if I can get Frozen patterned fleece anywhere.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Happy anniversary Foxgloves and thanks for the tip about icing. I never know what to do with the leftovers, I will remember that.
My boss has grudgingly allowed me the rest of the week off. I have worked like the devil to get everything up to date before I finished today. The challenge is to do some family stuff together (including 2 teenagers, one of whom suffers with anxiety) and spend as little money as possible. Will be making use of DS1s free entry card that he gets as a result of his disabilities I think.
My brother in law has dropped off a little bag of apples for me. Its an unusual variety that he grows in his garden and he remembered that I really liked them. Such a nice gesture, kept me smiling for ages.
Right, off to research somewhere to go tomorrow, and check out the weather forecast.0 -
DNMS no I work as an archivist in a university in one of the shire counties so we're taking advantage of the lovely chapel on campus to tie the knot in. We need a special licence as it isn't a regular parish church. I've never been to Canterbury but would love to go! We're going on honeymoon to East Sussex so I'm hoping we'll be able to visit!
Finally Free amazing news on the rebate, what a lovely surprise!
Carrie congrats on your rebate too!

Well - managed to get through the day but as you can see - not up to computerness last night - so update is...
Proactive MSE-ing- Car share with DH - we do this most days anyway (40 min drive to work in the same town) but today he's working late so I need to wait an extra 90 minutes for him. Pain in butt but think of fuel saving - Done
- Phone Co-op to see where my money for opening an acct with them is - swines say I'm not getting money (complaint on list for today)
- Probably none - maybe a bit of kindling chopping - actually managed to take a fair bit of stuff off the decking and stored it
- Draw up Christmas list - pressies for who & what are they getting (and what do we have in already) - nope - on list for today
Round tuit (as in I'll get a round tuit) not strictly money saving but clears my mind- Clean out fridge - done - ashamed
- Post on here once a day 2/28
- Watching Walking Dead tonight via Amazon Prime - probably all I'll be capable of after today's shift
Fixed the clock in the car to show the right time (on occasions I have gone right through to spring with no change)
And chased Quidco about money due to me
