  • This sounds like a goody to me.....I have just started shopping online, using discount codes and shopping.com as a price comparison - and actually seem to be cutting down grocery bills already.

I never did it before as I begruged paying the delivery charge, but that £3.99 delivery charge saves me time, petrol, and the leur of buying crap I don't really need!
    Is it payday yet?

Comping since August and won: Tickets to the ideal home show, My Little Pony Playset, a naughty prize, £5 cash, Hot Fuzz goody bag, Carbon Monoxide Detector, Tickets to Good Food Show, Photo print from London editions:j

    Im in!

I tried but failed the august challenge as i stopped recording what i was buying:(

This month im starting a new job so not exactly sure how my budgets gonna change, so im gonna budget £240, and its my little girls birthday at end of month so gotta save money for that.

If anyone has any advise on keeping track of what your spending through the month please tell me???

I have been good and made a list of everything that I already have, I was a little amazed at the things i have doubles or even triples of!
    £2 Savers club £0/£150
    1p a day £/
  • Made it! Will 'borrow' 2p from my loose change pot and add to my final 96p to buy a big bar of galaxy and will stuff my face silly all weekend!! :D

New month starts tomorrow and have just done my big monthly Mr T shop to arrive on the weekend (stocked up on additional bread and milk for the freezer, as well as fresh) which came to £69.00 (was actually £75 but I never include delivery charge as I normally use the 1000 points off £50.00/£75.00 shop each time which equates to £10.00 in vouchers per shop which I use when they finally arrive every quarter - phew that was a mouthful to explain!).

Should leave me £19.00 to buy fresh fruit/veg (cheap from local market) for the next month (only me to buy for) and if I run out then I will rely on the frozen stuff already in my freezer.

Hoping for £88.00 for the month again, as this means I can treat myself to nice food and a few treats for the month without feeling like i'm really deprived.

Would like to give it a go , I have set a budget of £300 for three of us, my husband 18 year old son and myself. I also include a Shop 0f £50 that I send to my 17 year old who lives independantly in Ireland.

My shopping bill has been going through the roof so I will try really hard start date the 25th August o/h pay day.
  • Ok did my September shop online today and it will be delivered in 2 shots next week got it being delivered on Tues and Thursday ok you ask why 2 deliveries well i did the 1st delivery and only got the 1000 points but had 2 money off vouchers a £10 off and a £15 off which i can use together but before 2nd sept so did another shop as having to pay out 2x delivery i did it on the cheaper days and now got £35 in points and money off for £10 delivery which i am fine with.

got the whole months normal food and some extras for what should come in under £200 will just need to top up with milk and fruit and veggies.

Why don't you try Spending diary.com (just google it)This was recommended by someone on here and i find it very usefull as i could not be bothered to carry a notepad everywhere with me. I just keep receipts and mental notes and enter them in that day.

    Hope that helps
