First month on the challenge and came in under budget!!:j :j
Budget was £100 pw and results were:
wk1 - 92.94
wk2 - 89.81
wk3 - 88.12
wk4 - 77.83
Just starting to plan October as it was payday today for dh and he's handed over his payslip (overtime 'n' all! ) so I can set to work again for another month. This challenge was even better as I budgeted all the accounts properly - we saved money, didn't go overdrawn and even better didn't put anything on the cc's (mainly 'cos I made dh cut them up). Next month will be tough as we're off visiting friends but if I can do it once, I can do it again! Well done to those who made it and keep on trying for those who didn't (I'm sure I'll fall off the wagon before long once the novelty has worn off!)
September Grocery Challenge - £348.70(Budget £400)
October Grocery Challenge - £396.34(Budget £400)
Really must get back on track with these Grocery Challenges!0 -

Aww Jamiedodger, hope you are feeling better now
Well Ive just checked my spend spreadsheet and somehow I have come in at a whopping £61.30 for the whole of this month, really not sure how Ive come in that low but hey I'm not complaining :T
Mind think that may be due to the hoarding Ive been doing over the last few months next month is going to be a store cupboard challenge to get rid of it all:rotfl:
well done to those who came in on/under budget and top those of you who came in over remember youve still spent less than you did before the challenge:DJune Grocery Challenge 270.80/250July Grocery Challenge 0/3000 -

Ok so the end of the month and I'm £7.24 over budget  even WITHOUT the big sawdust and substituting my normal one that means I'm over!!! However that would only be by £1.93 so it doesn't look too bad that way. I've said I'm going to take my overspend out of my next months spend. I've decided this will be what it would have been if I had got my normal lot of sawdust though as £8 is ALOT to account for out of my budget if you ask me so that's £1.93 out of Octobers.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0

I feel like I got a bit lost at some stage this month... but can't find any 'extra' receipts, so £4.23 over budget for September = A saving of £93.77 on usual shop a couple of months back!
Huge pile of food still in the freezers, large stack of tins in the garage, so shall now challenge myself to empty the freezers etc by the end of the month!
Shall now publish that aim in the October challenge so I can't get lost!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Hello everyone,
A belated post from me due to really busy weekend. I shall also be defecting to October after this, but really pleased to come in under budget at the first attempt. Don't think it will be so easy in October though... Good luck to all of you still on September.
