Thanks Goldie - that's a bit sad to hear. In fact though if I start working again it'd be hard to visit the PO much anyway, whatever will be will be (la la).
Hope they won't ask for the stamps back if I fail / they 'rest' me after the test!Fleabay + Weebuy + Gumfree since started diary 94 items sold, £649.71 clear profit0 -
Happy Hallowe'eeeen all
I've got sinusy thing so feeling a bit meh. Lots of items ending on fleabay tomorrow though so getting some questions and loving the noise the app makes when they come through
Today I've finally tackled my mobile contract - much overdue. I'm SIM only and have had on Ox2 for years … basically because it had unlimited data so I never had to think about it (20 pcm) - justified this by knowing there's no way today I could get unlimited data for that. Anyway, finally analysed my bills and find I don't use more than conservatively 3gb in a big month, so that's a nonsense… I guess there is so much wifi around now, data lasts longer.
SO - have switched to The Peeple's Operator as in :money: mail …
- 30 day contract so no credit check
- wanted to get 11.99, but that doesn't give you the mega discount in first 2 months
- 6gb and unltd texts and minutes - 14.99 - but 3.99 for first 2 months :T after which I can switch again anyway - for anyone interested, discount deal ends Monday so if you sign up tomorrow you get Nov and Dec at 3.99
- TCB giving 8.40 so if it tracks I'll get next 2 months for free and then get a better deal :T:T
- TPO give 10% spend to charity you choose
- put dd in S123 so might even make some pennies there
Doubtless will be some fun faffing this week with PACs and unblocking etc etc, but I think that's worth it. Note to self to look again end of December.Fleabay + Weebuy + Gumfree since started diary 94 items sold, £649.71 clear profit0 -

Good luck on your journey, Hollyboll. You seem to have got off to a really positive start. Have you thought about doing surveys to bring in a bit of extra money? I've found Pr0lific Academic and Y0ugov to be really good. I also do Sw@gbucks and get a few vouchers off them each month. It all helps towards xmas and birthdays. If you fancy signing up then I'm sure there are links on the referrals board. Do feel free to drop me a pm if you have any questions.
I'll be following your journey with interest.

Hi Hollyboll
Will follow your diary, will also check out the 30 day sim thing as oh and I both tried to get him a contract but both got declined, not long after getting the mortgage but his credit score is fair which is over half way so not sure why we are being declined, he feels as though his arm has been chopped off no phone for a few weeks!Target roughly 75% LTV before Feb/March 2021 (20% LTV = £40,999) - OP'd so far 763.51 out of 5 yr goal - £40,235.49 to go!:rotfl:0 -
THANK YOU so much lovely peeps for visiting …
Alit - I'm hoping that over the next 2 months my phone won't just be free but will pay both me and my charity a few pennies which has to be a win …
Monie my credit score is 'poor' atm since I remortgaged and opened several high interest current accounts / 0% credit cards earlier in the year, but I'm also not earning so pretty sure I'd fail any checks … very frustrating if you don't know why you are being declined - the whole thing often seems random. That said, it was only by being declined for a phone contract a couple of years ago that I found out the problem The Spanish Bank had wrongly caused my credit :wall::wall::wall:… but that is a story for another day. Have you thought about checking on some of the reporters just to see if there's anything lurking … I did free trials with both Exp3rian and Equ1fax - just don't forget to cancel them like I did at first, now I'm using n0ddle. But I have a feeling there was something in one of the weekly emails recently about a new service which is free ongoing ….
Either way, definitely seemed like a good deal, even if we ditch after a couple of months … I'm just hoping the switch of my no. goes smoothly as I would feel bereft if I didn't have a phone (sad I know, although not sure it would help job search prospects so is a real concern atm!)
In any event, thank you :money: for the tip in weekly mailFleabay + Weebuy + Gumfree since started diary 94 items sold, £649.71 clear profit0 -

Oooooh thank you MG for visiting … really cheered me up particularly as after the first flurry of starting the diary, I've felt less positive in the last couple of days, so thank you
I definitely need to get into more surveys and will PM you - I got a signup to P1n3cone which I've been doing but that's all. I'd read mixed things about Yougov in terms of the time invested for less payouts, but I've not heard about Prolific Acad3mic and will definitely look into that.
Conscious also I keep seeing references to the referrals board and haven't really looked at that - I'm spending so much time on this MFW board at the moment that I'm trying to limit my wider wanderings, or I'll be on msee all day every day
Hope everyone had some treats and no tricks tonight! xFleabay + Weebuy + Gumfree since started diary 94 items sold, £649.71 clear profit0 -
I actually prefer YouGov to any other as they tend to be fairly diverse (plus am up to £47.50 :T). Pinecone are probably the best payers but you deserve it for their inane questions :rotfl:.
I did a YouGov one yesterday which included some questions about Halloween - how much were you spending on decorating the house, outfits, gifts etc. You had to select a price for each category - started at £0-50 and went up to £1,000 :eek::eek::eek::eek:. Now that was the scariest thing I saw all day :rotfl:. Seriously - do people REALLY spend that kind of money?
Hope the bay of e is kind to you Hollyboll.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thanks to a supportive shove from a lovely MFW'er this morning, I've had a slightly productive day
Managed a couple of jobs over which I've been tripping for ages, always good. Saw 'Spectre' with a free ticket :T (generally quiet cinema was heaving with Craig release fever :smileyhea ) - forgot to take water but resisted cinema shop and zipped out to sainsbobs. Home to find a couple more bids and sold on fleabay, so have wrapped and ready to take 8 parcels (took a LOT longer than should have because I had cunningly filed safely the card that came with new broadband password so couldn't make printer work ).
Happy November all!

Morning.
Been having a mull on first week of diary, more later … but decided that joking aside I had to stop sitting in PJ's reading MFW diaries every morning, given it can easily take over my daySo nipped out this morning to do H3rmes dropoff - or that was the plan, doh, roads chock full as everyone back now from half term - ah well, at least it's dropped.
Great though prices are, I'm having one challenge with H3rmes and wondered if any veteran experts could advise … when I list on fleabay I choose H3rmes and put the price as 2.60 which is the price for under 1kg (assuming, as most of mine are, the parcel is under 1kg!). When I import they all change to heavier (and more expensive) parcels. So I end up doing it all manually which is a bit of a waste. Anyone got any idea (i) why it's doing this, (ii) how I can change a parcel weight once it imports and before pay/print?
Happy Monday!
