3-6 Month Emergency Fund Challenge!!

Hi all
Could I start again from today and go back to zero? #13 £0. I decided put my savings to my credit card to try and get shot of it a bit earlier. Thanks0 -
Evening DreamerHelen. Just sticking my head around the corner from the '£1,000 Emergency Fund' thread to see how folks are doing and to say that if any members of your thread are also on mine, but haven't been on it for a while, they might want to pop-over and check their member number as I had to rebuild the list due to a large section of it getting 'chopped' (but have no idea how as yet).
Also am at a conundrumn. I have some money in ZOPA that I lend out and am wondering whether or not to include this in my 3-6 month fund or not.Never Knowingly Understood.
Member #1 of £1,000 challenge - £13.74/ £1000 (that's 1.374%)
3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)0 -
Will join this challenge too. I opened a regular savings account last year for an emergency fund. It won't be a massive fund as I have debts as well. But to start off with I want 1 months salary. So £1500 is my first goal.
I currently have some credit card stooze money in my regular saver account, but I won't count this is it's not true savings. I have a 6% interest rate on my savings account until July. I currently have £330 of true savings in there. I have a £30 SO every month and I put in extra when I can afford it.
I work contracts, so some months I'm not in work all the time, so an emergency fund is vital. I want to build it up to 3 months eventually, but my first goal is £1500.0 -

patman99 - Thanks for letting people know about the Numbers on your Thread....I must go and check my own number!!Hmmmm....well the Money in the Zopa Account IS still yours, can you get to it if you really really need to? If so then count it as part of your EF....if not then I guess you can't because you wouldn't be able to use it in a real Emergency....But I'm happy with whatever you choose to do either way
Sharon87 - Welcome, Welcome, Welcome....lovely to have you here!!Can I just check that your starting point is £330 then? If so, you're doing brilliantly already!! Do come back and let us know how you're getting on....

Hi all and happy new year!
Some of the direct debits have gone out yesterday and I've found a small amount I could throw in the EF pot. £7 from the phone bill, which was £7 less than I budgeted for and a teeny interest of 63p transferred from my current account that I closed last week. I haven't already transferred the amount as I am still waiting for the card reader thingy from Natwst. Will keep you updated when it's finally in the pot. It's just a small amount but my first extra payment for the new year so I'm delighted."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

I popped into Nationwide today to have my book updated and there was £12 interest added at some point and I popped another £20 in there. It's the one account I don't have 'online' as I find I can't be faffed to go into town and take it out. So hopefully it will gradually build up.
So new total as of today is £14370 -
Evening All
Hope you are all well tonight.... xXx
