I will add my voice to the appreciation of you Helen. You are doing a brilliant job at motivating everyone.
I have been MIA just due to work. Nightshifts mean that all I do is sleep, eat and work.
I have been reading in the morning but just not with it enough to post (well, anything sensible and sensical anyways).
As I said before, I won't be able to add anything to my emergency fund until January but I cannot wait. Only one more month to go before I can start the next stage of my life.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
Savings: £0/£64000 -

Thanks Dreamer Helen..I have committed so far as putting it in my signature
I will check the money situation tonight and see what I can spare for a first payment to the 'pot'.
I need to open another separate account for this really to stop the temptation to use it if it is too easy access.0 -

Well done to all savers and the very positive and friendly posts on the thread. I'm going to enjoy being part of it:beer:
Well, I've got as far as updating my signature and am seeking out the best savings account for my potential EF;). Any money I've been making and trying to save this past year has got mixed up with the general budget and has been dipped into too many times just to keep my head above water. Must do better:o. Have really tried to keep my £1000 EF (patman's challenge) as separate as I can and is earmarked for emergencies only but there have been plenty of them this year:mad:
Your EF, Helen, is NOT to be touched whatsoever as it is my new( to me anyway) car fund. No dipping into this one if, say, the cat needs to go to the vet or the kettle blows up:eek:. Got to ringfence it;). Still no money in it but am working on adding something, however small, by the end of the month.0 -
Carboot - just skimread your post as "if the cat or the kettle blows up"! Oops! :rotfl:3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Declutter from 22.5.22: 105/250 Car finance PAID OFF £7,848.88 IN 2019 (0% LOB)0
