I'm hoping to add another £200 by the end of the month. Or at least enough to round out the amount. I don't like odd pennies

Sounds like me. Although I don't think I will get to the total any time soon xWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Thank you.
My mum is helping us out by loaning us £4000 towards our house deposit. I'm trying to save as much as possible before all the paperwork is done and we're moved in so I can give her a big chunk straight back.

Evening all
In my last post I said how I was planning to clear my credit card debt using my EF... So - it's all done!!! I closed my old one, and I just have 1 I use for shopping and 1 for amazon (as I use it a lot and can earn vouchers) - both get cleared in full when I use them each month.
However - my car decided to die and failed its MOT and after much deliberation and being messed around by crappy mechanics I decided to use the rest of my EF for a deposit on a new one. I guess that is what Emergency Funds are there for, right??? Where I live I can't manage without a car and I decided I just wanted a break from the uncertainty of having an old car. At least I have reliability and peace of mind for the next 3 years with MOT/servicing covered!!! However - I'm back at the start again haha!!!
Amount added = £250
3-6 Month EF = £250/£4500
I'll get there though - you can be sure of that!!!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Target £10,000, Current £7,900.
Been saving now since Aug 14 and still having at least 2 holidays per year.
Not likely to add much over next few months as tenant has just moved out of my other property so covering that mortgage and costs too again from this month.0 -
Hi everyone I have not been able to keep up with the thread but I am hope everyone is ok and been able to add towards their goals or setbacks.
Helen I have just had £40 cash back paid to me so I have transferred it to my savings. I will change my signature with new total now.
Thanks0 -
Just added another £19.23 however also had a letter telling me that I am going to loose £26.52 a week from Monday as my guardianship funding has been cut!
