Morning all,
Thanks for starting Ally
I have the next three days off work as my parents are coming to visit us! We're picking them up from the airport later this afternoon. They're staying in a B&B up the road but I'll still need to hoover/ clean bathroom before they arrive. I've got a little pot of money set aside for their visit but I don't want to spend it all as I'll be left with nothing until pay day a week tomorrow! I think tomorrow we'll have a day in town - luckily there is a nice museum and art gallery/ parks/ walks so it shouldn't be too hard to keep them entertained and the costs down.
Not a NSD as need to put fuel in the car and my mobile hairdresser is coming to do my bonce this morning. She's less than half the price of the salon I used to go to in town and does a lovely job
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores but tea will be from the local chip shop so I'll pay for OH and me.
Take poochy back to the ex late tonight so she has a chance to see my parents - they call her their granddog and will no doubt have a present for her!
OH and I sat down and worked out our joint finances. He's on ESA and DLA due to an accident that left him with a degenerative nerve condition. The trips to hospital have been for a trial of a spinal implant which fingers-crossed means he'll be able to go back to work. As I work full-time and have moved in with him his benefits are going down quite substantially. It looks like he'll also have to pay for his prescriptions now (he currently takes nearly 30 tablets a day )! We just have to hope the implant works and he can start working again. At least I'm sufficiently of a money-saving mindset now to think creatively of ways we can save money
:money: I really admire him. Unlike my ex he never complains about anything, even when I know he's in a lot of pain. I'm so lucky to have found him
Banking, surveys and FPL to check
I have some work for work I want to get done before Friday (bad I know as I'm meant to be on leave!)

I'm back,
Well OH has gone for a routine blood test and I'm pretty sure she's forgotten to fast which is going to result in the nurse telling her to come back another day and having had a wasted trip.
