Tuesday 20th October - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending! :money:

    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Thanks for the start Ally. Glad you had the energy to power through it.

    My whole family have come down with the sniffles. Son has a cold but OH and I are both experiencing sore throats which is a bit horrible. And headaches. Boo. It's that time of year isn't it.

    I have worked out that it's 45 days till my son finishes school for Christmas. I can't wait! I love that period. I will be off the whole time and OH normally manages a fortnight. It's the carrot I'm dangling now to get through the sniffles and various other things.

    Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

    Morning,I am shattered. I worked until midnight last night. This would be the downside of working from home.

    Anyway jobs for the day:

    * Full days work

    * Pay CC. Tried to do this at midnight as the transaction for the trainers I bought for Christmas pulled through and I don't want to incur any interest but it did not work. But will ring HSbC to double check as I don't wish to make a payment twice

    * All meals from stores

    That's it. Have a good day

    Morning all :)
    Thanks for starting the thread Ally - glad work went ok.
    Sorry to hear about the sniffles Bob - just what you could do without :(

    Right, today's list:
    Check banks
    Post office survey stuff
    Go to market, and pop into sales unit, which is virtually next door, while out
    Pay in a cheque
    Also take a couple of items to the charity shop
    Walk into town for free exercise and to save fuel
    Any surveys that are available
    FPL
    Sort out OH's truck insurance (didn't get to this yesterday)
    1 hour in the garden - might plant the garlic - ground will need clearing first :)
    I hour cleaning and tidying in house (thought I would try this as well)
    HM meals - think of something exciting (not) to do with yet more trout. Wonder if a curry would work? Must do some research. I am still using the food I had to cook when OH inadvertently turned off one of the freezers recently. Obviously I refroze it once cooked.
    Groom and walk pup later
    Take pup to free socialisation / training class run by our vets practice this evening
    Measure pup for a coat (didn't get to this yesterday either)

    Right, better get on! Hope everyone has a good day :)
  • Foxgloves can you talk me through your worm composter? What equipment you needed to start, general start up costs, what it takes to do etc? Am thinking about starting one up x

    All depends on where you live and how much you'll pay me. But at this point I'm open to most offers of work :rotfl:
