  • Hoping FC is OK, anyone know? Just tried to PM her but no space left, and she was last on this site on 22/10.

I'd been reading, including the other night away from here, again about Asperger's and how people who have Asperger's are disliked. I couldn't have thought that as I think I'm a kind, nice person who is good to get to know, but I can see how someone that corrects someone all the time (especially if the correction is correct -

I am sorry i don't have wise words as again I am running on the later side for getting to work and only quoted a bit a your post

I know you are liked on here You bring a different dimension to the thread You were sadly missed when you took a break and there were many post asking if you were ok People come and go on the thread Some are missed more than others It depends on who you "chat" with if you are missed quickly

    Good morning all

very foggy but only two more days to my holidays :j

DH is getting his hearing aids today I hope he perseveres this time, so we can have normal conversations rather than me shouting at him

    Enjoy
  • Morning, excuse my lack of thanks yesterday. I had a VERY loooong day at bluewater taking my dd and a friend to see Tyler Oakley. His plane was delayed due to fog so he travelled from oop north via different means and eventually got here. Started queuing at 1.30 and saw him at 6.50. But all worth it to here the chatter and excitement in the back of the car whilst I tried to navigate the fog and have them back to school on time last night.

3Dogs, how anyone can even contemplate let alone go through with these horrors is beyond me, so so inhumane.
I try to be an advocate for all animals. My 2 darling border collies (rescues) are part of the family, jokingly my fur babies. I honestly feel like they are my children although I do not humanise them too much. They are definately dogs so are made to go outside after dinner, sleep in the kitchen, never eat from plates or beg at the table and all the other things that dogs do and not humans. But I would protect them like my children, I know their quirks, their likes and dislikes and wouldn't, for example, leave my youngest dog alone with children. This doesn't make him a bad dog, it would make me a bad mum to him if I put him in that situation. We have to stop dogs being made to fit in with us, they are individuals like people, and if you want one who will fit in with you you will more than likely be disappointed.
Woah, look at my rambling! Anyway 3dogs, you and your team are doggy angels. Keep up the good work.
I sometimes find myself with a surplus of dog treats or leads and collers, please drop me a message if I can be of any help.

    Good Morning :)

    3Dogs your post

Poppy was found wandering the streets of Manchester so the Manchester Dogs Home knew nothing about her life before she found her forever home with me :A.

I know she lived in a place before me where they had a baby and young children with a lad around 20 . I know this with how she acted when she saw heard these people when I first got her. Poppy still looks and runs looking if she hears a baby cry on the tv.

We went to bed at 9pm last night after X Factor .
Heard no more fireworks apart from the ones when I got back from mums. But Poppy wouldn't settle and she had no tea again and had to be taken in garden for bedtime de wee wee's.

Morning all. Very foggy here too - take care any elite who have to drive in it.
Could I ask a favour please? Our broadband is pitifully slow and we are thinking of changing to Virgin media. We don't know anyone who has it so can't get any opinions of it. If any elite are Virgin users or former users I'd love to know what you think, both in terms of performance and customer service. TIA. (I'm pretty sure DM uses it but I think he's still away)

    Good morning Elite :money:
It dumb founds me that things like this go on in 2015. It also dumb founds me that there are such wicked people in the world. I think what strikes me the most is that there are vets practising like that. Presumably they having gone through their training and must have cared for animals at one point in their lives.
Thank goodness there are people like you to help save them.

And yet, my vet Alice and another at our practice are both Romanian and are wonderful. In fact I helped advise Alice in bringing her own dogs over to the UK a couple of months ago. And I have met another lovely Romanian vet at a practice that I take local rescue dogs to. They got out, to give a proper life to their families. One said to me, there are only two classes in Romania, the corrupt and therefore richer upper class who have all the power, and the lower class, and if you don't take part in the corruption, you cannot get out of that lower class. However, any vet worth their salt wouldn't take employment in these shelters, so they get the dregs working there :(

    morning all,
been awol as kids have been off and we have been busy all wee - I don't think I will have the chance to sit on my backside until Wednesday!! Kids got to get up a bit earlier as our car has to go into Vauxhall this morning as we have a zafira - an excuse to use some m&s vouchers and my sparks card lol

I have a 2012 Zafira Estate and checked out the site but I have the Zafira B, with AUTO button for climate control, rather than the air con button on the Zafira A, so mine is OK :j
Good morning all, foggy one here.

We've got 3 overhead cables to take down today to allow trees to be cut, and presumably we will be putting them back up again, could do without this fog when doing that, makes the ladder all slippery

Glad to see you are well ensconced back into the Hotel California (aka this thread) 3Dogs :D

Indeed Enterprise, a true Elite can check out, but we can never leave :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
