Amongst the chaos of yesterday I slipped off and went to watch a preview screening of the new film Brooklyn....I dont often recommend films but this was a little gem of a film for our more mature ladies or indeed anyone who is just reminiscent if the 1950's...
set in Ireland and Brooklyn and just a simple plot but so well executed.
I was lucky enough to see it at a little independent picture house which is also very in keeping with the era so I actually had a lovely few hours of nostalgic bliss on a Sunday morning
Thanks for the 'review'I'm going to see it tonight thanks to freebie tickets from SeeFilmFirst. Really looking forward to it now!

Morning all!
I've already been to Morrie's this morning and picked up the crisps. Good price so I'll get some more this week.
Dd1 fell over and landed on the corner of our hallway skirting board in the hallway. Cracked her head open, blood all over the cream carpet !!!!! Trip to hospital to have her head glued back together!
She's off school today, watching DVDs in her bedroom.
I need to wrap that child in bubble wrap!0 -

Thankyou for this ...have just watched the trailer for this and is definately Nannylala's kind of film and have put it on my to see list:T0 -
Miro...it was just a gentle film...and lovely to see the wonderful Julie Walters in it.
I have a theory now that if you want a film to have a story to it then its best to go to a 12A rated one...15's tend to go over board on the language and 18's are just violent.
Hope you have a grand time this evening!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

What's the deal with the crisps please? Been away for 4 days so no chance of catching up!We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits.0 -
