:(:( Skip past as unhappy post
:( My Father has lost the use of his legs last night
:(
Awaiting Dr who is calling after 12pm.
Why they couldn't tell Drs it was an emergency I don't understand but they know best.
The first time it happened was in 2001 & he learned to walk but very unsteady & slow.
This year was the year of him getting his own car that he can drive with hand controls & he has been literally whizzing around the country with his new found freedom.
Tomorrow my Parents were going to Center Parc Sherwood Forest for a friend's birthday weekend.
Poor Mum - I've offered to go down but she says no....
Will wait & see
Sorry to hear this snap......you must feel like you get all plates stacked on the shelves nice and tidily and then one comes tumbling down again:o

I think I overdid it with the T wine codes. I could hardly get in the porch yesterday when I got home and I have more coming today which I'm holding Tinyshoes completely responsible for because she pointed out that I could use the same codes on DH account.
.I have no recollection of that.

Mrsnerf says your an animal eating the OEP:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Mrs nerf not you?
I have at least another half dozen packs.
Oh and I was not the only one who ate it. :rotfl:
Trouble was by the time I was back in control of my stash having lost my mum in 2013 it was too late to do anything else but keep them. The end of 2012/beginning of 2013 was a blur. I can't remember how many packs I bought but these were not the ones with the wraps in too just the spicy stir in sauce. I did squeeze it out into a glass bowl first to make sure it wasn't a science experiment in the making.0 -

Well after my daughters good news last week its been a bit of a week. As you know she got married in August and had a bit of a problem with her Hen night. Anyway at that point her so called friends were very !!!!! and her work friend and I advised her to cut all ties. Well they came to the wedding and 2 of them got very drunk and didnt behave very well. She has been arranging a Halloween party and decided to cancel it this week as they have been causing her stress again. She sent a text to one of them who replied with a curt message and then before she could text the others she got a couple of quite nasty messages from the others. Anyway after a tirade of messages she has finally taken my advice and deleted them from her phone and facebook and blocked them.
Anyway I hope that will be that. Arent girls nasty?
She had a call from her midwife making her 1st appt which is good but her hubby had a letter from the ENT specialist as he has had an ear problem and apparently its a Cholesteatoma and he will need surgery. ( its a growth of skin cells in the ear after an infection or perforated eardrum - he has had both ) Has anyone any experience of this condition?
From 7 years working in ENT, cholesteatoma is a benign growth in the ear. I emphasise the word BENIGNleft untreated, it can and will cause permanent deafness, frequent discharge and various inner ear conditions ; namely vertigo. Once treated, the hearing won't be the same again but it will stop it deteriorating any further. Some cholesteatomas can be tricky to remove in their entirety, depending on the growth and spread of them. Risks of surgery include facial nerve damage, but again, that depends of the severity of the growth. Surgery time approx 3-4 hours.
After surgery, to start with he will need regular appointments for cleaning wax and debris out of his ear. As time goes on, those appointments will become less frequent. He should also have regular CT scans too to check for recurrence
I used to work for the specialist cholesteatoma surgeon in the south west so I picked up a grain of knowledge or two.

Snap I hope your dad is getting the treatment he needs
I'm quite cross at the GP for not putting two and two together when your parents rang and triaged him more urgently
Things WILL get better for you :Axx

Evening all. Shame I missed the mystery wines, got as far as checkout with the fizz before I got tne OOS message.
If/when the whites & reds come back in stock - does anyone have an opinion about whether it's better to go for the cheaper or more expensive mystery boxes?0 -
