Me too! I've wanted a hand held one for ages and once Bobby arrived it was a must.
Looked on tesco thinking about the double up and they were £229 I've just bought one from dyson ebay reconditioned with 12 months guarantee £127
TCB now have eBay too.0 -
oh yes cleaning bathrooms is def an evil job and she needs paying for it - any of the vile jobs eg kitchen floor scrubbing, changing beds, bathrooms, oven cleaning, emptying cat litter trays, dog washing - all need payments
.
So her 'income' has reached £50, which can be put into an account
p.s. Bonds is a good idea too, but I have no idea how to look for them, even how they work (shame on me )0 -
Check your emails - I have one from eBay for 6x Nectar points on purchases today (need to click link in email to activate - though see a banner on the home page with this offer so watch and it should appear), so should stack with the discount.

I bought a Samsung Tab A, down to below £160, with 6x Nectar points. And to avoid all possible problems with the Chinese models on EBay I spent a little extra and bought it off Argos, complete with 2 year warranty

Oh, yes, she gets £2 for cleaning a bathroom once a week! It's nice pocket money. Also, she does small jobs around the house (paid!).
So her 'income' has reached £50, which can be put into an account
p.s. Bonds is a good idea too, but I have no idea how to look for them, even how they work (shame on me )
bonds were very good but the interest rates now are rubbish at the moment
- I've got a 2 year one but 2 years is a long time when you are only 12.
so the flexone regular saver with 3.5% is very good - get her into the habit of paying in a little every month even if its only £5
the app is very good, she can just move her money from the current into the savings and then back again into the current when shopping Saturday comes along“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
