Healing restful healing vibes for you, CY and I'm glad you're back at home where you belong.

(((Hugs))) for you Mumto5, and healing vibes for Mutley. Wretched dogs, being so greedy; I could weep for you both. You must be so worried.

Thank you Dusty, and Valli for your generosity and helpful suggestions regarding jars. Having had a large batch fail yesterday (waaaaaay too much ginger in the marrow jam) I think the shortage has been averted. Crowd Pleaser, have a lovely holiday - North Devon's fabulous. I worked up there on a farm for a year ooooh about 40 years ago. Loved it.

    Apples.
    Better is good enough.

    Morning all

CY - Glad you're back home. Take it easy! *hug*

    Mumto5
    - Sending prayers & vibes by the truck full! *hug*

Yesterday was no where near as productive as I had hoped. Between not leaving here until 11.30, missing buses, getting stuck in a queue in the bank for 30 minutes, the chain pet shop not having the dry food so I had to go to another branch another 20minutes further away by bus, getting on the wrong bus (I misread the number in my rush to cross the road & load my bus pass on my phone app) so had to change when it intersected with a bus that went near mine, then getting a massive headache due to being stuck on a double decker bus full of teenage girls all chattering louder and louder, having to go to Mr A for a few bits at their peak time (plus side they have those tube crisps on offer for £1 so I grabbed a load for DD's Christmas hamper ;)) I was exhausted when I got home and just collapsed on the sofa for the night :o

Today I need to be more productive. I've already put meter readings in for my gas & elec, then set it up to switch me to a slightly cheaper tariff on Monday when my current one expires, transferred money to my main bank account from two others (that's the money I paid out for work as I couldn't get to the bank in time and the child support now dealt with), requested payment from a survey site to my pp account, which I'll then transfer to my bank account and updated the anti-virus on my computer which required a reboot. I've also found the batteries for the smoke alarms, now I just need to wait until DD is home before I change them. I am not doing a step ladder at the top of the stairs when I'm home alone! The week I'm having it's bound to end in disaster. Mum if you're reading this, I am not joking when I say I would like a set of metal taller step ladders for Christmas :D

Plan for the rest of the day, excluding DD and I blitzing the house top to bottom tonight and her packing to go away until Wednesday night, is:
    - Stuff to charity shop
    - H0mebargains shop (urgent as DD needs stuff to take away with her as she's out of stuff I thought she had back ups of! Plus I need something to send up for her twin cousins for Halloween to go with the aprons I have for them. I send them something every year. Also need to send birthday gifts up now since their birthday is bonfire night to save postage incase DD doesn't go up for their birthdays ;) Will grab something for my nephew and niece as well while I'm there)
    - Mata1an shop (I need a couple of items of clothing being between sizes and wearing what I do have out & Mr A has let me down. I'm trying here before I go back to town to more expensive places!)
    - Card shop - need birthday cards for the twins, preferably not at £2 each which were the ones I saw in Mr A but I might just have to!
    - Cash machine - DD needs her pocket money she's been saving up and I need cash for tomorrow.
    - Find somewhere to eat for tomorrow night for me and a friend. It was supposed to be lunch (not a problem for me to find somewhere for that) but due to other commitments we're having to make it dinner instead. Saturday night, in Liverpool (probably the city centre), needs to be within £40 budget, can't book a table as we don't know what time we'll be able to go due to these other commitments, and being organised by me who's usual option is to grab a sausage roll or a sandwich while on the move not a sit down meal. Can I call disaster yet? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    - Groom the dog who is moulting all over the place again. We don't get hair bunnies, they're Godzilla sized ones!
    - recycle all the old work books which I no longer have a use for (DD started it yesterday, but was on a go slow as she has a sore wrist)
    - Get DD to pack properly except for toiletries she needs tomorrow morning (She's leaving at 9.30am )
    - Get DD to have a bath and scrub tonight, or a shower first thing tomorrow morning.
    - Shower for me
    - a million and one other things that my brain just does not want to register as well as the lists

Right now I'm going to update finances due to the spending I had to do yesterday, get rid of these books as I'm sick of looking at them, make a charity shop run on foot, although finances permitting I may just get another bus pass to make things quicker. Then I can always jump the bus into town or where ever if I need to and it would pay for itself in one there/back trip. First, another coffee!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

mumto5 I hope your poor mutt is okay. Lots of thoughts for you and your mutt xx

I have woken up in even more pain today. The pain in my sternum is now absolute agony. Still very frustrated not to be able to do as much as I want. I did try a little knitting last night. Maybe that is what made it worse. But I am still determined to fly today.

Someone on another forum suggested that I write lists to help with planning and jobs DH and DS2 and DD can do for me.

So today I am writing lots of lists and planning C'mas and our trip to Derbyshire, and lots of delegation.

My one aim today is to clear the dining table.

Normally I would wash therm pigpen but as you have no time at all to do it I would bin them. You can easily pick up other dressing up things from charity shops. In fact get OH to do it while he is there!! :D

I feel I am in exactly opposite situation to you ATM. Loads of time to do zilch.
