although they claimed It was an oversight.

Isn't it so ironic that 'an oversight' on the part of a PPC is brushed aside by the BPA as being inconsequential, whereas 'an oversight' by a motorist results in being hammered with a £100 'fine'.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Absolutely, it's just bully boy tactics to try and scare people into paying up and hoping they'll get away with it.

well done for keeping going and for taking all the best advice onboard

now you will know what to do in future no matter where the incident happens and are better placed to defend yourself, especially against BPA members

I dont think they should be allowed to give it to debt collectors so easily and in such a short space of time, never mind court , I hope the governments new strategy includes toning down that side of this unregulated business , and improves the right to justice by ADR with better proof required by the claimant (like contracts, signage etc)
