  • Hi

Didn't want to read and run but it sounds like you have it all planned out which is a great start, and well done on giving up smoking again, that's fabulous! (and great for your health too)

Like Fuzzy I also have a lot more debt than you, I was here a few years ago but fell off my debt-free-wagon... hoping not to do the same again this time!

Small wins, that's what I like... have you considered the Payment a Day thread? I am addicted and have already cleared one credit card :)

Lots of luck with your debt free journey

  • Feeling awful today. Ordered about £45 of shopping to be delivered tomorrow, I could have shopped around etc but I have not been able to get dressed or go out today. I got a lot of fresh stuff to freeze like spare bread, veg etc so it was worthwhile.
Was really tempted to order a takeaway but talked myself out of it and microwaved some rice pudding instead! Going back to bed shortly, hopefully tomorrow will be better

7 shampoos. And my shampoo is being discontinued so I bought a lot!

Hehe I was going to ask if you wanted to trade your shampoo for some of my 26 body washes, but not if it's your favourite :rotfl::D

Hope you feel better very soon. Take care. :)

Hi guys, thanks for my latest messages, it's really encouraging! Still feeling very ropey and can't sleep- though I got up and fell back asleep this morning!

I decided rather than "save" the money to pay dibenhams at the end of the month, I should just do it now (in case I spend the money?) so I paid that off. I need to write down what I've spent so I don't forget
This leaves me £161 for the month for the following-
    Shopping £40
    Aunt Bday £20
    Train £30
    Travel £64
    Bday drinks £30
Being off sick certainly saves on travel! The eagle eyed among you may realise that comes to £184, way over...however I have £21 in my purse left from last week when I didn't make it to the bargain shop. I've just done a big shop so have plenty of food and of course toiletries! And my £20 from inbox pounds is on it's way, plus a bit more swaggy effort at the weekend will get me to 999/£5. There's £15 expenses owed from work due to me also, so I should be ok:)

  • I suppose today was an NSD, have been asleep or prone on the couch most of the day. Signed off work for another week, that's 4 weeks in total. Two weeks half pay and two weeks SSP £84, so almost three weeks pay I will have to repay...grim.
Had a read through some other diaries, it's interesting to see the differences but also the similarities.
Managed to cash out sw@gbucks at 999 and have got back up to 195.

Whoop whoop inb@x pounds cheque arrived for £20! As well as my Dibenhams statement (card has been paid already!) with £3 points voucher.
I might review whether to change Dibs for a cashback card...I do like getting points from them as I always buy underwear there and I can usually stack up a few offers and vouchers to get a discount.
Still under the weather- must go through paperwork today and stop dumping it in my new "in tray" (half a perfume gift box).
Well I fell asleep and woke at 7pm...feeling quite ill and fed up of feeling ill. Another NSD, easy tomdo when you are asleep all the time!

Sleep pattern is very messed up, now going to bed at 5am and waking at 2pm. Have not been outside for a few days now, so I've not spent anything. Sw@ggy has been keeping me company in the small hours, just here trying to resist the urge to order take away, as usual. Apart from the cash cost involved, I really have got to try and keep moving about.

Decided to go absolutely hardcore on sw@gbucks and am just a few points away from 999 which means I will have earned another £5 by tomorrow. Amazing. At least I've been getting something done whilst I'm lying about.
