What a money earning day!
I received a letter from Virgin with a £45 rail voucher, as they were disappointed to hear of my awful journey....I'm not even sure I complained except about the delay which they refunded?
£50 earned tonight at the consumer panel. I don't think I have ever had a £50 note in my life! It was good fun, there were plenty of characters so we had a laugh and a few yummy biscuits. Treated myself to a few tube journeys- it's been a while but now i'm rich....
Got a few free tickets to the Skygarden in London for visitors who are coming to stay in Dec.
Early indications on the payroll show that I'm getting my regular wage so that's a relief. I'd rather be overpaid then repay it, than have to try and get more credit card money. I'll need to do my Dec budget soon, including sales money (yay) mum uses lancome so I'll be waiting for the online and instore sales to grab a gift set to put away for her birthday.Jan 20 - NST challenge

So at the end of the month, I have £101 left in cash, the bank etc. I have £67 debt on cc, so that leaves me £34 to last until Monday.
I will be having a spendy day tomorrow having lunch at a sushi place with the girls, gift swapping window shopping and tea drinking which will be lovely. I'm not sure I will keep it to budget exactly...luckily I'm veggie so sushi is quite cheap (as in the choice is tiny- I understand from fish fans it's possible to chug £££££'s of it and run the bill up) the girls are very fair- I'm veg/picky and one is booze free so we never "just split 3 ways" as we order very different amounts.
So I would be happy to go about £10 over like I did last month. I'll be wearing the charity shop dress again- everyone loves it!
It will be interesting to see how next month goes- I've had an absolute belter run of good fortune with swaggy and the bay and the research panel, and virgin freebies, much more than I could have imagined. I got £10 from TCB too today!
I've sorted out some carrier bags from my extensive hoard, as well as some left over xmas cards to take to the foodbank drop off tomorrow. I feel stingy as I usually do a good £15 shop to donate but this year it's leftovers and I'll buy a box of mince pies to put in.
I'm a bit short of cash- I'm nowhere near needing a foodbank and I can't imagine the stress people go through that the bills are so bad they have nothing to eat.
Now that I'm on the tesco value 25p cornflakes (which are amaze) I'll be saving money regularly so I can donate more often. £2 + for cereal NO CHANCE never again!!!!Jan 20 - NST challenge

It's been a struggle over the last week with work. I have a dr's note recommending I work from home for a week. We have a new head of department who will not agree to me working from home until we have a meeting. She would not hold the meeting last week. I had wait until today. I'm not supposed to have gone in until after the note ends tomorrow. Anyway, today, she said she can't meet me until Wednesday.
Meanwhile my manager has asked me to work from home on some legal docs which are needed urgently, so last week I did work from home.
So "cutting your nose off..." Springs to mind.
Wages today were £700, so even though I asked to use my leave to top them up, it hasn't happened.
I don't know why this new woman has got it in for me. She's been totally unfriendly and has not spoken to me since I returned to work (she started when I was off sick) we spoke once when I introduced myself to her. I really need a new job but I'm just not well enough right now.
I know my mum will give me some money, and I could get more credit card cash probably but how will I repay it? Tomorrow I will be able to plan better but right now I'm just tired and miserable.Jan 20 - NST challenge

Still miserable. Had a terrible meeting with new boss where I raised how I was feeling she was being quite horrible to me....got a barrage of abuse from her as to how I have done her wrong and I have been off sick and I should not dare suggest she stresses me out. Still no work from home agreed until I saw my gp- which I did straight after that meeting. GP is outraged and wanted to write a note saying work are stressing me out....
So here we go. Time to get well and get out asap. I think we can say with some certainty that my days are numbered.
Today I'm off sick so nil pay, but claimed 5 from swaggy. Have done a few shop visits which I have not really totted up. Awaiting a salary advance from work for the wages/leave and the underpayment of wages. Thank the stars I get paid on 15 but most bills come out later on the following 1st. Just too miserable to concentrate on money properly, and it's too confusing with all of the payments being messed up.Jan 20 - NST challenge

Regardless if she's the head of hr she should not be allowed to speak to anyone like that or to make you feel worse than you already do xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
Hi all,
I've been a bit down in the dumps I suppose. The head of HR continues to be a thorn in my side, still I don't think it's personal though - she gave the go ahead to sack two staff without warning and without following policy a few days ago- yes just before xmas! But no she is clearly vile and creating a very unhappy and difficult work environment. She's put my new staff member on a course I am supposed to be on - the reason I was willing to take such a drop in salary for this job was partly because I would get this course funded, now the person who has been working there not 5 minutes is on it!
Anyway it's lead to a relapse, very much stress related so I've been trying to get over that. Have been spending money like there's no tomorrow, xmas dinner out x 3! Sales shopping for new clothes! And I've been smoking.
I was paid an extra £100 by work (not even sure what that represents) so long story short I don't have enough to pay my outgoings unless I use my overdraft. I have not really looked into another 0% loan as I've just been on a downer but will try and gee myself up to do it by Weds, and before D Day 1st Jan. Although to be fair I am woefully underpaid so if I can just dust myself off, say goodbye to what was a great job/company and all the hopes and dreams attached, and get myself out there I could easily earn a better salary which would help with the repayments.
Lucky I live in London and it's not too hard to find jobs in my line of work!
Hope everyone had happy holidays....my presents went down really well so they were worth the effort.Jan 20 - NST challenge
