Well, the day went pear-shaped at 12.30 when I received an email to say that the Old Wives are being asked to move their meetings to a room where we will have no access to tea-/coffee-making facilities or even toilets!

I lost time starting to compose a reply, but with DH's help have crossed a couple more things off my list. Still to do:
    - deal with remaining updates of charity paperwork - postponed
    - course reading - will do an hour before tea
    - write a short letter and post it - tomorrow
    - call in at CS, and pay in cheque at PO - tomorrow
    - design a shield - will do this evening

I need to think about what to cook this evening, too. I bought some home-grown sweetcorn from the farm shop on Saturday, so we'd best eat that while it's fresh.

Hello ladies - I'm in, flapping ineffectively as ever.

Not a whole lot done today, but I have got rid of two bin-bags full of clothes to the school for their cash for clothes day. I also took a bag of outgrown baby toys to toddler group, so my landing is looking clearer *fling*

Dealt with an online food delivery, did all the laundry (ironing pile is huge again) and tidied the kitchen. Feeling pants with a cold and croaky throat, but soldiering on ;)

Hugs to everyone feeling down or out of sorts, with children poorly or being trying. I'm going to have a hot bath tonight and try to forget my woes x

    Well I've just sat down!!!

I have listed 8 pairs of shoes for sale, filled a binbag of rubbish, 2 for charity and reshuffled furniture. vacuumed lots, moved tiles to the kitchen, cleared the random shoes off the shoe racks.. eyed up some coats to sell.. cleared a smidge of worktop. filled a binbag of recycling and a binbag of shoes for recycling and a few bits gone to the shed... NOW .. I need to get my paint out..

DS2 has an infection in the flesh on his temple.. no gp appointments for the foreseeable so tomorrow afternoon is to be spent at the walk in centre.. 4 hours of my life I'll not get back! I might send OH with him actually.. after college.. This means no appointment for me or for Pixie.. 10,000 patients and 2 doctors.. seriously bad planning.

PJ's, bed and knitting time!!! I have 14 squares and a border to do before the 24th!

Backroom looking almost habitable.. and half the hallway is sorted.. all the shoes are cleared away/binned/recycled/sold:to sell/gone! It is so liberating seeing rooms emerge from the squalor! Honestly.. it is starting to feel like my house and less overwhelming.. it has taken me 3 days to do one room and the one I am now sitting in is a total shambles.. I am working on this tonight and tomorrow.. another half hour should have this room looking much nicer even if not clean.. The toys are just about all in the front room now along with all the charity stuff.. I need to message my chazzer friend to organise a collection again.. I have earmarked some big things to go too which is quite nice and will make an immediate difference.

I am also hoping to get at least 4 squares knitted tonight.. doing a blue one then 2 orange then a red.. must ball the red first..

job number 1... Pixie away to bed!

Have managed to get stuff to chazzer. It's dog rescue - for the simple reason that it's very local, has adjacent parking and was open.
I am coughing like mad today.
After a mishap with the photocopier at work I have some paper to recycle. It's a secret...

So far I have managed to clear lots from my own list so will fly properly tomorrow.

Phone to get DD1 onto the car insurance that was a bit of a shock think the increase is worth more than the car but as I am not having to pay for driving lessons (little bro is an instructor!) I shouldn't complain too much.

Need to sort out the freezer so will add that onto tomorrows list.
