Morning all and welcome Justforme and huston_kw:hello:

    Fingers crossed for Dusty's Mum.
Really pleased to know that you have successfully dealt with the two things that were weighing you down, Jazee.
That's an early half-term, mrs-mp! - schools round here don't get holiday until the following week.
YL, well done for making your list and spotting that many of your worries are about things that only *might* happen.
Poor Pixie - hope she and you feel better soon, pigpen.

Thanks for the new list, Natty, and for last week's, Bossy.

Today my diary is completely free for the first time for months :j so I hope to tie up lots of loose ends and finish off odd jobs and errands. I have started sorting my list by category (house and garden, studying, personal/hobbies, my boxes work, and other commitments) and identifying with different coloured highlighting which jobs are "urgent", "important", "need to be done within a year" or just "odd jobs and errands" (things to be done at odd times this week). Anything else comes under the heading "No need to think about this at present" or simply "Dream on!" :rotfl: and has been removed from my list. The strategy seems to be working, as my list is greatly reduced and I have tackled at least three urgent jobs and several important ones in the last couple of weeks and not just sat around dreaming :)

So, today my list looks like this:
    - [STRIKE]look up how to make a sugarpaste lion cake topper on youtube[/STRIKE] - DONE
    - S&S bathroom
    - S&S kitchen
    - use Aunt Kate's Head (antique soft fluffy white brush on a long bamboo cane) to clear the spiders out of the landing lightshade
    - clear floor and desk in study bedroom
    - deal with remaining updates of charity paperwork
    - course reading
    - write a short letter and post it
    - do a bit of shopping, call in at CS, and pay in cheque at PO
    - get outside for at least an hour in the sunshine
    - design a shield
all interspersed with :coffee: and parrots to keep my snuffles, sneezes and mild aches under control

Spoons and sticks all round, with waves instead of hugs so I don't pass on the snuffles  Hope everyone has a good day, especially YL and CY xx

Joining you now for HHCx2, pigpen :D

... and thank you to Ionafan for summing up everything I wanted to say so beautifully. :A <- Ionafan.

Shot down to the charity with the overload of fresh seasonal veg to make sure the marrows didn't end up at the tip and came away with three marrows, two cabbages (both of which are shrink wrapped) another bag of beetroot (about 5kgs?), some very bendy carrots and parsnips, a couple of perky carrots, a couple more onions, a potato, and an unidentifable thing that has me completely foxed. Dropped off a jar of marrow and ginger jam with the promise of some of the apple and carrot chutney that will be ready for C-Word and came away with gleeful shouts of, 'We'll see you again on Saturday!' Apparently even the vegetarian staff are stick to death of stuffed marrow, but the recipe I'm using at the moment for marrow and ginger jam is the best I've ever come across so every scrap will be put to good use. Raided Sainsbobs for ginger, sugar and Certo so that'll be another 20 jars later. I'm going to run out of jars. *wah* I'd let dozens go because I didn't envisage a glut of anything this year but I just can't bear the thought of all that food going to waste. A Gumtree Wanted ad, I think. Flying will happen later around jam making.

OH and I are off to finally choose a proper bathroom cabinet after putting up with chaos in the storage department for 20 years. Yesssssss.
    Better is good enough.

Just stopped for a coffee after tidying up right through the house (except the desk & kitchen) :D Slowly crossing things off my list, but that's what today is for ;) I hung washing out, and 15 minutes later it started raining! Brought it in, put it in the drier and just put a 2nd load in the drier. Its supposed to be dry this afternoon so I'll put out the not so urgent stuff and dry the rest. On the plus side downstairs isn't doing too bad temperature wise despite me having the window open so it's not all bad :rotfl:

    Personal (week):
Laundry ([STRIKE]towels x3,[/STRIKE] dark, light, fleece, cloths, quilt, blanket, dog)

    [STRIKE]Sort bags[/STRIKE]
Jigsaws (going to set one up which is being charity shopped but I need to check all the pieces are there first. As its multiple puzzles in one box I need to do them rather than just count the pieces)

Nag DD over arrangements going away (she's sorting it with her grandparents who are away atm and will forget) ;)
Plan bake sale stuff (twinks, chocolate cakes, cupcakes) including packaging (used foil trays last time and they never came home despite me asking for them back! so I want stuff I don't mind disappearing.
