Interesting, Valli. Apparently F'ook doesn't know where I am. Hmmm. Sorry - forgot to say thanks, so 'Thank You.'

In that case search <nameoftown>+groups in the Facebook Search option.
Be prepared for a shock, though:o
    (well it shocked me!)
Having said that I have had a look and there doesn't seem to be a things for sale/free group for you.

Can't keep up with Fred at the moment. I've just been landed with 40kgs of apples. Does anyone know how to find local groups on Facebook? I've appealled for jars on Gumtree but apparently I'm more likely to have success on F'book Groups but I don't know how to find local ones!

In search type in the name of your town/area/village and see what local groups there are.

Do you have freecyle in your area?

Thanks Valli - searched as you suggested and as you sad - nothing found. However, I happen to know there are a couple and I've even found one through a friend and applied to join, so thank you for that.

Brilliant suggestion Dusty. I've signed up for F'cycle again not having used it for a decade and put a Wanted Glass Jars ad on with an offer to swap them for a few full ones, so that may result in an offer. Fingers crossed.
    Better is good enough.

    Lovely blanket pigpen!

As suspected. Nothing was done yesterday. After the zoo we drove past ik*a so decided to have dinner there and get some bits. So didn't get back until 9.30. Before I went to bed thoug I put one of ds1 s posters in a frame for his bedroom and built a little storage unit. Annoyingly, I have realised that I have picked up the wrong size wardrobe so another trip soon to exchange (I don't know how long you have to exchange things at ik*a!). Our closest one is an hour away!

This morning has been done at half speed. Still feeling light headed. Seeing midwife this week but think my iron levels may have dropped so might not have a choice about the iron tablets this time! Anyway, the utility room has been blitzed! It was definately a hotspot! Floor cleaned and new unit organised.
Also, cleared the kitchen and washed the floor, put some stuff in the garage, emptied the bins and prepped dinner. Hubby has now sent me upstairs for a lay down!

    Clean bathroom floors

Tantalising Tuesday ~ Masterful Master Bedroom & Loopy Landing
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs
    15 minutes floordrobe clearance
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Clear a hotspot., or spend 15 minutes clearing one

    30 minutes ironing x 3

Tantalising Thursday ~ Kooking Kitchen and Dancing Dining Room
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!

Friday ~ Luscious Living Room, Handsome Hall Stupendous Stairs
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
    Extra Mission...
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves
Get those uniforms, games kits, coats and things in the wash which you will need on MoBday
. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

Shame you're not near us, HB, or you could've come and raided our loft! All it would cost you would be a chance for me to meet Kelpie.:D

Mr LW is doing his weekly [STRIKE]penance[/STRIKE] ironing (he does his own shirt and chinos for work, plus there's a pile of hankies to do):A.

I'm just waiting for the BM to finish (about another 25 mins) then I'll take Patch for her afternoon walkies.

I'm cream crackered - I've been to Mr T's, walked Patch, and made lemming cake, "strapple" crumble, and veggie toad-in-the-hole already today.

We went into H&B yesterday, in the hope of getting some seeds for baking, plus I wanted to see if they had any valerian tablets; it was a nightmare. Most of the Penny Sale items were out of stock, and you couldn't move for people milling around, so I decided f*** that, I'll do an online order instead!;)

Blind purchased but we have decided to fill the holes from moving the old one and to paint the wall before fixing it up. Whilst there we spotted a lovely blind for the kitchen but didn't buy it as we didn't have the measurements with us. Now that we have neighbours on both sides we need to have an option of privacy as one fence is very low.

    Work coffee for DH purchased

Not much else apart from endless meal preparing.

In the interests of space making I have filled 3 binbags for charity just with toys and 1 with shoes and added 7 larger items. I've also got 2 binbags for the church playgroup with toddler toys. I have a tesco crate full still to sort. A box of teaset for the playhouse, a binbags of rubbish/broken bits and a tub of dressing up banished upstairs.. my front room it utterly destroyed!!! lol... I'll finish it after dinner while OH baths the pinks.

    2x DW
    2x WM
2 loads on the line and 2 inches of blanket border knitted.. that's for after the girls are in bed!

ooh... I have a cot to throw on freecycle too.. I will reclaim my front room.

I am getting all the baby board books away to toddler group too.

RoD is spotless and I have 'popped' to see DD. But I was stuck in standing traffic for half an hour on the bypass; not sure what it was but it involved an ambulance. Anyhoo I'm back now and I seem to have rekindled my flying mojo, which is (a) good, (b) about time and (c) not a moment too soon.

Out of interest (and I NEVER buy them) jam jars are available in many places now including Morries, Dunelm and Lakeland. They are not, however, cheap.

I was gifted some a while back which had been washed out (after a fashion) and not allowed to dry. They had mould in the lids so I did not risk using them.
