Altojack. Hubby is doing all the exercises religiously daily. He had 60% of the cartilage removed from his 1 knee about a year ago, he went in at 7am & was back home around 4pm same day, others who had the same op. were still in there 4 days later - they hadn't bothered doing the exercises! It's horrible hearing his knee crack & grate & he's having a LOT of pain. He's due to have his 4 spinal injections beginning of November - at least we're hoping they will do the 4 (vertebrae out of alignment & nerves pinched) & that they will work!
We haven't got driving to worry about as I'm the driver, he hasn't been allowed to drive for 5yrs because he keeps having blackouts.
I'm actually wondering whether to go to an acupuncturist for my shoulders as the surgeon won't even attempt my left rotator cuff after the right one didn't work well - it didn't work well as he left it too late! (kept telling me it was just a bone spur even tho. he hadn't done an MRI) The 15min op turned into a 2hr+ one & he had to repair muscles all down arm that were torn as well as total rotator cuff repair. After reading some of the results on here my left shoulder might be worth a try. Surgeon reckons it's osteoarthritis BUT seems same to me as right arm! Pain killers don't seem to do a thing & if I took all the doc has given me I'd be in bed 24hrs a day & totally out of it! Grrrrrrrrrrr0 -
Thanks for the welcome
Plenty of cake to go round, I'm happy to share
I do like a couple of mugs of coffee in the morning to rev me up, but a nice cup of Earl Grey in a china cup, with cake in the afternoon is a pleasure to beholdFighting Recurring Cancer0 -

Anyone been on a 'Cruise & Maritime' on Magellan or similar? Have seen quite a few of these very reasonably priced BUT what are they like?
The food, things to do onboard etc. I'd probably be OK with my Kindle packed with books, sitting on the deck but sadly can't book a thing yet.
We're still waiting for the all important call about hubby's ops.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
