I went to S this morning, and I used a fruit and veg bag that I'd previously got from M as I only had a couple of small items. I got it out of my hand bag.
When I'd finished the cheeky mare at the SS tills came over and said "we're not allowed to give those bags away", I told her it was mine from somewhere else.

Silly caw, I always keep a couple of these bags in my handbag for small items.

I think we will have to watch for random extra 5p for bags going onto our bills - they will swear its gone on by accident

Thanks - it's still not going onto any list today though!:rotfl:
I'll have a look for it on Wednesday, assuming I get to M at all on Wednesday.

Crikey - it looks like they'll be a lot for me to catch up with! My guide price on 1L bottles these days, btw, is £14 as some of them went to that price for about four days earlier this year. Makes the usual £15 seem quite dear:eek:. They'll still get onto the list at £15 assuming they are still on offer on Wednesday (I know hotdeals suggests it's on until 25/10 but I can never rely on anything as M could pull the offer early), always assuming I even go to M this Wednesday!

Sal posted a good comparison yesterday gocat.

I ended up deciding months ago that the best place to buy Gammon Joints was Aldi, after deciding that all the ones in M, even when on offer, were too dear:rotfl:. The comparison does now look the best one on msm as the cheapest by weight showing on there is £4.49 for Aldi (not £4 M price) and that one in Aldi is slightly smaller. However are we sure there's no gammon joint available in Aldi that's at a much better price per kg. and isn't on msm any more?

EDIT: "Savers" Gammon Joint is £4.41/kg but our option here is much better than that. So, the Gammon Joint (not the expensive "Savers" one that doesn't save at all per kg) should go onto the list. I'll take a closer look on Wednesday (if I get there). As usual, my one failing/inattention gets spotted by this thread and drawn hugely to everyone's attention:o:rotfl::p:rotfl::rotfl:.
