    Afternoon.

Yes it is sad but not the end of the world.

I would suggest that those people who have benefited from the work of deedee and sfsb should now get off their bum and try to find some glitches.I don't think it is that hard.

Most of the glitches come from toiletries so I reckon it is a case of keeping an eye on upcoming promotions and checking prices online and in store on a wednesday.

I quite understand what has happened and why and think fairclaire gave a very fair appraisal of the situation.
I still don't know what has happened tbh. I think all the relevant posts have been deleted. I do know, however, that people have said goodbye to the thread, which is sad.
You know, there can be disagreements, we are all adults on here but it seems that we can't get past the childishness of name calling or upsetting somebody so much that they can't face posting anymore. Who said what to whom I don't know and don't really care but I think we all have a part to play on here whether it be waffling (no comments please :rotfl:) supporting one another or helping people that are struggling to make ends meet. I think we all look out for glitches but some are more gifted in that department than others. I will, like everybody else, keep my eyes peeled for anything that may be a glitch. We have some very clever members who are brilliant with the figures, aau, chrisv (where is she by the way, I haven't seen any posts from her either) and others whose names escape me at the moment, so hopefully we will get by and somebody will be our shining light again that is the way of things.

If I am honest mhoc it can get boring being stuck in the one location and I know a lot of people do enjoy the cruises. I suppose, thinking about it, if we had one/two holidays a year and visited a few locations by way of a cruise, it would probably be just as financially doable as having three separate ones. There is only the two of us to worry about, kids have grown up and got families of their own, so really there is no reason why we can't give it a try. My youngest sons inlaws go every year on a cruise and himself, dw and little one went last year with them. It was sons first cruise and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He looked very impressive in his tux I have to say. The little one was kept busy with a kiddies club every day so they had chance to go off and enjoy themselves too. He said he would like to go again.

Its worth being on iglu cruises emailing list and keeping an eye on the last minite cruise list as there are some fab offers.

If you are south and close to London then you have a good choice of fly cruises out of London and also cruises out of Tilbury and Southampton
North of Birmingham its a bit more of a challenge but cruise.co.uk are based in the north so fly cruises are still possible and also companies run coach services so you can get to ports. There is also a good train service that runs all the way down from Newcastle to Southampton companies like Fred Olsen run cruises out of Liverpool, Newcastle, edingburgh

Start with looking at European destinations and little week or 10 day cruises - there are numerous 2 and 3 day weekend cruises but they are a different kettle of fish altogether - they tend to just go to Zeebrugge, Le Havre, St Peters Port - he channel and back

Loads of experienced cruisers on Elite and also on facebook there are groups so plenty of advice, no question is too silly.

Part of the fun is constantly checking the sales for cruise dresses - its a good excuse anyway :)

Reading back these last few days I think some people are reading this thread through greed tinted glasses and others just wanted to stoke the fire the facts seem to be getting well blurred

So no doubt the tooing and froing will carry on then a few ae will pop up and have their say on the subject

I had a laugh with Dumpy and DD and it was not because they filled my cupboards ;) as I tend to stock up on things when they are rtc it works for me saves all the hassle.

But I could see them leaving was always going to be sooner rather than later
and the comments like dont go you are the best glitch finders
Says to me you don't want the glitches to go rather than the person

As Sal said above and DD even explained herself its not rocket science generally the same things glitch on a regular basis.
Just those two put the work in and fine tuned it
Maybe those sitting around on a Wednesday waiting for the next glitch to be reported should try and find it :rotfl:

    :D

This will be my last post

This place used to be a place for a laugh and to share also for support for those that needed it

Well the few have spoiled it for the many it’s Sad to see the behavior of some of the elite members like small children in the playground and that’s being polite

I have not been posting for a while as its depressing reading here lately and it’s shameful the way some members have behaved towards others

What Is ironic is the same people are more than happy to take advantage of the finds of the very same people they slate

And that speaks volumes about what kind of people they really are. You should hold your heads in shame as the elite thread will dwindle as a result.

All because some of you don’t have the courage or respect for other people to keep quiet.

It’s a shame you did not think of the people that rely on this thread to get luxury items they would otherwise go without rather than focusing on your own selfish feud.:(

Thank you for your advice. I am going to have a look. I am actually in Norfolk but I am sure we can get to where we need to go. I think I would, as suggested, start with a week/10 day one just in case I get seasick! It will be something different for a change, thanks mhoc. Looking forward to doing all that 'necessary' shopping for suitable clothing. As you say, I wear jeans and jumpers most of the time so it will be nice to wear some posh frocks. Now to convince Dh that a cruise is just what we need!
