Note to redfox: I don't mind if you start a new thread, especially as mhoc believes it will begin a new ongoing thread free of "unpleasantness".

If I am honest mhoc it can get boring being stuck in the one location and I know a lot of people do enjoy the cruises. I suppose, thinking about it, if we had one/two holidays a year and visited a few locations by way of a cruise, it would probably be just as financially doable as having three separate ones. There is only the two of us to worry about, kids have grown up and got families of their own, so really there is no reason why we can't give it a try. My youngest sons inlaws go every year on a cruise and himself, dw and little one went last year with them. It was sons first cruise and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He looked very impressive in his tux I have to say. The little one was kept busy with a kiddies club every day so they had chance to go off and enjoy themselves too. He said he would like to go again.

We def find Aldi cheaper and the number of things we buy there increases every week. We do taste tests against our usual brands

I've just about weened OH off his obsession with brands

We buy Aldi own brand French fries and oven chips both under a pound instead of Mccains. We buy Aldi own brand pizza for 89p rather than Goodfella deep pan pizza which was 2 fir £4.50

We buy Aldi cheese - both the cooking cheddar and Wensleydale

OH likes Aldi coleslaw now rather than Sainsburys

    Frozen peas def taste better.

We get the 68p bananas, potatoes, carrots, onions

I got a bag of frozen chicken breasts from Aldi went for the premium version and I am going through the usual receipes but I think this will be a regular as well

So far we have not found anything from our regular list that is more expensive in aldi and the range is small so there are very few things I would impulse buy.
I have been getting the £1.39 bags of spring bulbs and the £1.49 bottles of raddler beer but that us about all of the extras we get.

I did look at the strawberries thus week which were £1.09 but there was only about 10 strawberries - nice big juicy ones but it worked out at about 10p each - that's probably still a good price esp if you need them for a dessert but it still looked too dear for me

    Afternoon.

Yes it is sad but not the end of the world.

I would suggest that those people who have benefited from the work of deedee and sfsb should now get off their bum and try to find some glitches.I don't think it is that hard.

Most of the glitches come from toiletries so I reckon it is a case of keeping an eye on upcoming promotions and checking prices online and in store on a wednesday.

I quite understand what has happened and why and think fairclaire gave a very fair appraisal of the situation.

What are you doing on here do what you do best and get your !!! into wombling gear :p

    It looks like rain:rotfl:

I do find wombling far more lucrative than glitching.
  • Afternoon all,

Just got an email from Cauldron Foods saying that I had won a £5 Waities voucher. I'm sure it was a heads up from an elite post on here where I got the info from, sorry can't remember who, but thank you very much.
