this is the description - sounds very good, some scenery, history, architecture, horticulture and some refreshments - perfect :D

"As you travel northwards, you’ll enjoy a visit to the old capital of Teguise, declared a site of historic and architectural importance. You’ll also make a stop at the Haria viewpoint, which offers breathtaking views of the northern headland and neighbouring islands.

Your journey will continue to the Aloe Vera Farm tucked away in the village of Orzola. Aloe vera is a typical plant of warmer regions and one that grows exceptionally well on the island of Lanzarote. The plant is used for a multitude of purposes from preventing wound infection to being a valuable ingredient of skincare, it can even be taken orally. During your visit you’ll have the opportunity to try some aloe juice or liqueur.

Afterwards, you’ll head to Manrique’s Jardin de Cactus, filled with over 1,500 cacti from more than 100 different species found in Lanzarote, America and Madagascar. The Garden is a stone-built enclosure and provides a stunning background for these unusual plants. It is also in this area that the cochineal beetle has been cultivated. The beetle lives on cacti and its larvae are used to produce the valuable red colourant, cochineal, formerly found in drinks such as Campari.

During your visit, you’ll have time to wander around the garden and enjoy a refreshment at the on-site caf!, before the return drive to the port."
That sounds absolutely amazing. We stayed in Costa Teguise but not the old village. If it hadn't been so hot we would have travelled about a bit more. The reason we go to the Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura) in the early part of the year and late also is because although the weather is always good, it isn't too hot. This time it was! We try to do 3 holidays a year out of season.
I would love to see the Cactus Garden, and the Aloe Vera farm. I would like to see the process with the Aloe Vera. I wonder if they do that on site? I may have to put my brave head on and go for the hidden Lanzarote next time.
    Have you been there before?

Sorry Mhoc, I don't mean have you been to Hidden Lanzarote before but have you been to the Island before?

Its too early to go over this again, but lest us not forget why this all kicked off in the first place.
    Anyway, time for another coffee

I've only been here just over a year and have no idea what kicked off, I doubt many newish members have any idea either.

I love Lanzarote, hoping to go back next year, we done Fuerteventura this year. You are so right, the weather here is dire, and its gone sooo cold, couldnt you have bought some nice hot weather back with you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I just love the Islands Sarah. I wish I could have brought the weather back with me but at the time I was thinking it was just too hot :rotfl:you can imagine what I am thinking now! I love Fuerteventura too, gets a wee bit windy but then even the wind is warm.
