How about Carpetright? I'm watching because I rather need some new carpets or flooring. But on the days they've given anything away at all, it's been: 'a luxury faux fur bean bag', 'cosy slippers', 'a personalised cheeseboard & wine glasses'.

actually my Mum died of 4 forms of cancer but I've never ever use it as an excuse to try to win a prize. Do these people so desperately want a bottle of bubble bath ?

Seen some over the last few days that all they require is an answer to a simple question, and people are answering it, then are proceeding to add a sob story to the end of it.
I've been showing DH some of the stories I've come across ('cos I don't think he believed me when I told him some of the stuff people have posted) And he can't believe some of the really personal stuff people are posting to win something. I have said that some stuff might be made up, but he was still a bit shocked that people would do that.
BTW, I haven't won anything either on the advents. Just saying lol.

Tbh, I don't mind what I win, I'm not entering all of them daily (some stuff is either not worth entering, or it's something I don't need/want, so someone else can have a go for it) Just a little bit of something from the advents would be nice, I just don't believe in posting what I consider very personal stuff to win it.
I have won 3 things this month anyway, just not Advent related, so even if I don't win anything from them, at least I've got something to show for the effort lol.
