Sadly, the laptop is on its last legs. It has had a great run, but stuff is starting to break (the wifi doesn't work any more, for example). I'll have to get a new one. And I won't load Windows 8. I have that at work on a super-fast massive PC and it is horrible.0

Load Windows 7 then, I still say its the best for the for pc and W8 for tablets, W10 is very much incomplete for tablets, I dont find it PC friendly either, I rolled back to 8 on my tablet and PC.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Interesting. We are looking at upgrading my work PC to Windows 10 soon due to all the problems we are having with 8. Boot-up problems and all sorts. It really is a system that causes maximum frustration.0

Sometimes its the administration of work PC systems, own software etc I have seen Windows 7 run terrible in such environment, poor internal servers etc to the actual PC, old PC's unable to mutlitask between poor servers and modern Windows OS ghe PC not built for.
It's quite common for large government depts esp, who pay top dollar to third parties and get absolute nothing for the money.
Good luck with 10, I reckon a year to 18 months down the line it will with updates be worthy but not till then.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies...
