Just an update- received the second letter from Debt Rec +.. So decided to write the following letter to debt rec + (letter template got from MSE - daisy)

    Name
    Address

    Date

    Dear Sirs

    Parking Charge Number xxxxx

I refer to your letter of [insert date], and earlier correspondence.

Firstly, I have no intention of paying the money demanded by your client, and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.

Second, should it be your client's intention to start court proceedings, they must provide a Letter Before Claim which complies with the requirements of Annex A Para 2 of the Practice Direction on Pre-action Conduct:

    justice.gov.uk/courts/pro...action_conduct

Please also note that a failure and/or refusal to comply with the Practice Direction will result in a complaint being made to the court and an application for a stay of the action and costs pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 4 of the Practice Direction on non-compliance and sanctions.

In the meantime, you should note that this charge is disputed, and you must now refer this matter back to your client and cease and desist all further contact with me. Failure to do so will result in a complaint to the Credit Services Association.

I trust that I have made myself clear.

    Yours faithfully

    PRINT NAME

    *********************************

I never ever contacted the Euro car parks...Am i too late to contact them?

Hello sanu and well done for finding this forum -
Don't worry about 'Not good with English grammar and writing letters'
    #
As your green light is on, I'm highlighting Umkomaas' 1st sentence from #6
Have you contacted Jones Laing Lasalle?

This is what you must do. Was this the place?
    http://outoftownretail.joneslanglasalle.co.uk/index.php?p=viewScheme&id=4865

I have guessed at this one because the tenancy plan accords with outlets you listed in your 1st post I]matalan asda sainsbury and halfords[/I.
    #
In #3 you ask: ' I don't know it is worth trying to contact them at this stage. '
The answer is a BIG 'Yes.'
    #
Next - 'submitted an enquiry to private parking appeals and for some unknown reasons they haven't responded for 2 weeks. i emailed them and left voice maills and one day one of their rep asking for the copy of the letters and they said they couldn't find my enquiry, but they received my payment through paypal.'

Has this payment from PPA been returned?
    It should have been.
This is something you need to chase via Paypal.
    Please name this business.
    # I'm out for most of today but will look in later.
    Welcome to mse :-)

The bad news is that Debt Recovery Plus are not members of the Credit Services Association.

    Bad news? Shome mishtake surely?

Much like other old boys clubs the CSA exists solely to support and promote the interests of its members and is not there to support and protect the public from its members although they will always passively foster that view. They aren't regulators - that is now done by the FCA etc

One has to ask oneself the question that if a company is unable to achieve the self-serving, self-interested, self-promoting self-protecting aims of an old boys club then quite how far are they capable of raising their bellies off the ground?

Oh, wait, there's another couple of organisations we can think of that do exactly the same.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • when told that ANPR Ltd had joined there "club" in there last attempt to get drivers details from the DVLA , there spokesperson was heard to reply "La La La" , this was just before returning to the golf club to play another round of golf with **** **********
