Working conditions so poor...

All part of Cameron's "global race" (to the bottom?) with China and the rest. We'd better get used to it.
Not really. If you're on a min wage job and are treated badly then it's easy to vote with your feet. Sports Direct will be left with the lazy and weak bladdered and eventually capitalism will punish them.0 -

Yer, ever so easy when you can't speak English and have a roof to pay for to simply walk out of your job.0 -
what is wrong with 6 sick periods off on a rolling 6 month.
Thats potentially off sick one week every month.
Either the person is taking the !!!! or they have a medical condition so bad they probably should not be working0 -
I have been in a shopping centre on two occasions when people have literally collapsed while walking and needed ambulance and medical treatment. one time the person looked like they might have died on the spot but obviously I didn't stay and inquire.
anyway if you are well enough to freely go shopping and then collapse in a heap its not a stretch of the imagination to say there are people who will feel absolutely fine when they wake up and go to work and then collapse and maybe even die while at work.
but of course since its work where there's a blame there's a claim0 -

however after some rather questionable DWP WCAs there are rather more people who have been forced back to work, and therefore the chances of people keeling over in work are probably on the rise, as they are with people having to work longer before retirement.
Illustration of this - the bus driver that crashed into the supermarket at the weekend and killed two, is 77 years old... that's just wrong.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

It's six strikes within a six month period.
That does not necessarily mean six periods of sickness.
You get a strike for being 5 minutes late, as an example. You'll get a strike for spending too long in the toilet etc.
So a day off for D&V and then the following day you need to spend a little longer in the toilet (for good reason) and theres 2 strikes.0 -

it was stupid to let a 77 year old drive a bus, but why try to spin it as a 77 year old being forced to work rather than a 77 year old opting to continue to work. he doesn't look poor and used to be a mayor if the bbc is correct0 -
