As usual I haven't caught up much today.
    Put DW on.
Did a quick swish in the bathroom sink, shower etc.
Got stuff ready for this afternoon's work, did it.
Remembered to fill up car with diesel on the way home and decluttered a C0sta while I was there.
Caught up on a TV prog I'd downloaded onto my laptop as it was making it run slowly (good excuse, what?).
More paperwork. I love my work but will be glad when there is a bit less of it.
Just done a bit of my course; today's video was "cultivating an attitude of gentleness and friendliness toward ourselves" instead of lots of self-judgement about how much we've been distracted or how little we've achieved.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Evening all and a warm welcome to new people and lurkers :hello:

    Morning everyone

Feeling much more like myself this morning - amazing what a good nights sleep can do! And the sun is going to shine.

Washing out, kitchen and bathroom swished, carpet sweeper used, tumble drier emptied. Off to put some make up on and make myself look human then I am ready to go.

Have a good Thursday all x

Thanks embb and also Biscuit who made a similar comment - I found my way there easily enough via the motorway, but more importantly I found my way home cross-country in the dark :) It's a good group of people and the course looks very interesting. I now have prep to do every week and a huge folder to store everything in - they're obviously going to keep us busy!

DH had :coffee: waiting for me when I got home and we sat down and enjoyed the GBBO final together - emotional or what!?!?!

Isn't it wonderful how a bit of sunshine and blue sky and pigpen's wool colours all help to lift the mood? I already have one load of washing waiting to be hung out as soon as I've finished doing this and had my shower. I will definitely plant my hyacinths and wallflowers today.

I've got the Dy$0n upstairs so will fly in the upstairs bedrooms this morning, then carry it down and do the LR that I didn't get round to doing yesterday, so we shall be clean and tidy for the weekend. We're out for most of tomorrow, visiting DGS3+4 :T

DGS1 sent us a selfie last night - he has just lost his first tooth :D

Must follow kaz's example and whizz on...... (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round as needed. Hope everyone has a good day - will catch up later....... x

    Morning all

Hugs, sticks, spoons & vibes to all.

Yesterday I basically managed dailies and some laundry before 11.30 but then the majority of the rest of the day was work until 7.30 when I called it quits. I did taken some time out to run to Mr A for bread and a few other bits I'd forgotten.

I also took DD to the walk-in centre with her ankles. Triage nurse said she's damaged the ligaments in her ankle which go over the top of her foot. So she should not have done PE and is not to do it this week at least (I did tell her that when she first injured herself), she needs to remove the bandages as its causing fluid build up (I told her that as well when I noticed how swollen her ankle was), she's to take ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling (I told her that as well but she wouldn't listen) but she does need to walk so that the muscles don't seize up. I love how DD is convinced every time I tell her first aid stuff that I don't know what I'm doing (even if I've called my mum and checked its the right diagnosis/treatment if I'm not 100% sure), her dad tells her the same thing and she still won't listen. One day she'll listen first time and the injury will be dealt with before it gets worse and it'll heal faster.

Plan for today is clear the ironing pile as DD has run out of blouses and I need some bits, a shower for me then on with paid stuff. It could have been done yesterday but I ended up running so late.

Marvellous Monday! - a bit of everything!

    Howdy

I've just blitzed the LR a and having a cuppa - my head hurts :( decaf it is then!

Been to phonics meeting, all very pleasant. Saw head of early years after and she said they are keeping an eye on DD and making sure she is challenged as they are aware she is confidently reading. So that's reassuring. They will happily send her spellings to do if she wants them (she does) and she may get extra books. So that's all very positive.

Done a spot of shopping and got birthday gift for party at weekend, plus 3 chrimbo gifts! Stashed in loft.

Also found in B&M they had max factor lipfinity lip tints for £1.99 in lots of different colours. I needed a new lippy! Also found a vampire mask for DS and fangs for 10p in wilkinsons :p

I'm heading to the kitchen soon - must take some painkillers first <ouch>
