It does seem this thread of ebay sellers has turned into a bunch of little bully boys.

No, it's a thread of confused people who understand how businesses work and can't understand how anyone can think free P&P makes a seller dishonest.

People not agreeing with you and asking for you to back up what you're saying doesn't make us bullies.

As I have said in my previous postings i really will not disclose the current ongoing investigations of the particular sellers in question at this time,

I have evidence of suspicious bidding on several accounts over a period of time and this has now been reported.

It is of course within your own interests to defend your own personal ebay business practices, and it is clear that any debate or warning to others as to what is hpening on ebay has turned into a ganging up of little abusive bully boys on here.

Therefore i will not be drawn in and discuss it further.

I find it interesting that the previous posts which admitted to seller listing manipulation regarding free postage has already been removed and moderated as has the abuse from various members who left it.

This really says a great deal about those on this site.

From my own experience I would certainly now strongly advise genuine bidders and buyers not to use this service, and if they do, do not attempt to pay for the item unless it can be collected and examined in person as satisfactory

    End of.

Nobody is asking you to. You mentioned thousands of buyers and the media and that's what you're being asked to provide links to, not the investigation.

First of all, we're not bullying. Second of all, as you've said it twice now, we're not all boys. Not sure why you keep adding boys to the end, why not just say bullies?

Third, I still don't own a business. I still agree with the others.

Fourth, the bidding issue is a warning. Free P&P is not an issue to anyone except you.

So you have no evidence and are using excuses. Now you're warning people not to use ebay at all unless they collect the item? :rotfl: Yeah, good luck with people listening to that.

I wouldn't be surprised if your next post is not all buyers are genuine, some place a maximum bid and it's misleading for sellers as they don't know how much the buyer is willing to pay!

Thank god they are back in school tomorrow.
I can understand why people are unhappy about bidding that seems suspect.
But not understanding business practices in terms of who actually pays for postage be it free or otherwise is beyond belief.
I can only assume someones bored and is being deliberately obtuse.

By the way im primarily a buyer and would be very worried if a seller wasnt making money from items i buy.

The real truth is there a small minority of people on Ebay who are dishonest. These people are included in both the sellers and buyers. The reason it seem so bad is that you rarely hear about the smooth transaction that were trouble free. How often does someone post on here to say they sold something and the buyer was happy? Or someone brought something and they were happy with it? If they did then this board would be very dull.

There is this misconception that Ebay is full of people purely looking to rip you off and it gets referred to as Fleabay. This was probably true years ago but its very rare to get ripped off if you are sensible. Its very difficult when decent sellers such as myself try hard to provide a good service but am met with this ignorant views.

Unfortunately some people such as the OP still believe this and if wasn't against the board rules I'd beg the OP to tell us their Ebay name so they can be added to the blocked list.

As a matter of 'fact' All the posts that have been amended or removed have been yours and it is you that have amended or removed them. There is only one other post that has had an additional paragraph added to it, and that was at the beginning of the discussion .

It is interesting that you believe posts have been amended or removed, perhaps you have misunderstood how a forum works as well. As to why you believe the thread has been manipulated I couldn't possibly comment and will leave others to make their own mind up.

I'm happy to question ridiculous statements and you seem to have peppered this thread with a fair few.
Presumably I was in your list of "ebay sellers", I can happily confirm that I do not sell on Ebay and haven't for some time. I don't even buy on there very often any more. I do know that there are a majority of honest sellers trying to earn a living by selling on Ebay and that a statement in your opening post gives an opposite view of that based on your experience of, as far as I can tell, less than a handful of sellers.

As others have asked, if you have any independent statistics to back up your statement(s) then please do so.
    .
  • How so many like to protect the fact that there are bidding problems and attempt to diss anyone bringing this to somebodys elses attention is beyond me.

Keep laughing. It doesnt worry me.
