Input my readings today on the website for info. only, not for a bill.
HOWEVER, when I've gone to input the figs on my own spreadsheet,I've realised that I've typed the wrong fig. in for leccy.
My question is, what happens when I enter the readings for the end of year review bill if the leccy has still not reached the incorrect figure ? Will the "system" ignore the later number as it will be less than the October reading? In which case it will presumably jack up my DD ?:(

In my experience, most suppliers just ignore readings that the system believes are wrong. If I re-call E.oN allows customers to enter up to 12 readings each quarter. Why not wait a couple of days and enter a correct reading. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

 Hi brewerdave,
Don't worry it won't be a problem, but I'd like to get the correct read on for you, just so they fall in line.
If you'd like to send me your details and the correct read, I'll pop it in for you and make sure the wrong one isn't used for billing etc. and make sure the wrong one isn't used for billing etc.
Just let me know if you need me.

I've just entered mine too, I have been given this message for that gas though.Thank you for providing your reading. We're not able to use this as the opening meter reading for your account, but we will use it to ensure that your first bill is accurate.
Which begs the question of what the point was of asking for it if they aren't going to use it. And also how on earth they can use it to make the first bill accurate if they aren't using it as the opening reading.0
