Cheapest phone for pay as you go/text only deals?

If you only want to pay for more texts now and again, maybe you should look for a PAYG provider who does rolling bundles, so you could buy one when you can see you're going to use a lot that month. I'm on White mobile, which is pretty cheap for one off texts and you can buy bundles when you want more, so maybe that's the kind of thing you should be looking for?0

How is WhiteMobile CS/ management/data coverage pls?
(I got the SIM, but at the time, their data bundles weren't any good)

I just went to my post office to pickup a 'free' sim but got pushed into buying 5 quid credit. I hate that. Thats why I prefer doing things online if I can to avoid being hasstled into making a decision, though post office isn't known for their hardselling
. It's just the guy said 'come this way' to pickup the sim and then later added I need to pay a fiver to topup I didn't muster the steadfastness to say Id come back later, I usually do but it was a moment of weakness; mainly as I was caught off guard.
In hindsight I would have gone home and had a think about it and decide later if I wanted to sign up online to get it if I knew I would have to pay.
I think the 123 one might work out better because I presume they would rollover, and for a fiver id get 250 texts @ 2p a text so it depends on on how much my texting rashes actually come out to since I am usually on unlimited I don't know but I know it's in the hundreds in a matter of days.
I think I will have to play around with a few different ones till I figure out which will work best. It will be between post office and 123, or maybe giff gaff will end up best in the end, though I doubt I'd go over the 3k a month for post office so maybe itll be suitable afterall. Will have to experiment and see.0 -

What would work best for me is the most amount of texts I can get for the cheapest amount which don;t expire. Though it seems the only offers are pay for a month.
But the post office one is still better deal than giff gaff I guess. I suppose if I didn't have the call credit then it wouldn't automatically take the money?
you can cancel the bundles as soon as you activate them so they don't roll over, then just add one again when you need another one.0 -

I'm not a heavy user so I don't really know - I've only contacted CS a couple of times and the response was very basic 'overseas call center' type. Apart from that, the phones work, I don't think the Orange signal around here is that strong so it's a bit up and down. If you are looking for a cheap service it's fine, if you want top quality its probably not the right one.0 -

It would suit your needs and even if you failed to get the cashback you wouldn't be worse off than on PAYG. The phone is unlocked as well.
I looked at this deal a few weeks ago and confident enough to do cashback. Ideally I'm looking for a smartphone (so I can use O2 priority moments
) and the Nokia 130 looks pretty basic, is there anyway to use the 500mb data available? Or can I add any apps?

It is. Use the sim in another phone. You can better deals with similar bundles and a basic smartphone for about £3.50 after cashback.0

£3.50 - is that in total over the contract or £3.50/month after cashback? Do you have a link to look at the offers please

the 4.50 option has double mins (1000) and data (2GB) with the added cashback more than covering the £1.00 more per 24 months.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies...
