Then you need to learn the facts about contaminated meat packaging and fast, before you get an unpleasant surprise. It is acknowledged that the majority of poultry in this country is contaminated - and so is the exterior of many of the packs used to contain it.
Sooner or later someone young, old or with a compromised immune system if going to get killed by this idiocy and all the virtue signalling in the world won't make amends.
Did we not use bags over and over before the advent of free plastic bags?0 -

Yes, we did. But that was before the widespread contamination of poultry due to modern farming and slaughtering methods.
I suggest you read the link someone posted earlier. It would save having to argue based on ignorance of the facts.0 -

Well when will these deaths kick in?
How many years are we to wait,or is this an English specific issue?Birmingham Food Safety officials found that there was no link between the chickens infected inside and outside the packaging. Both types of bacteria are dealt with by thorough cooking and hand washing.
Big issue for you? Buy a new bag every time or keep a meat specific bag.0 -

How many contamination issues have been identified as the fault of cross contamination either in the same bag or by using a bag since both Wales and Scotland introduced this legislation?0 -
Me? nope none.
From the Telegraph's article: "During the last three years there has been a steady rate of just over 900 reported cases of campylobacter poisoning a year in Birmingham.
Nick Lowe, manager of the council’s food safety team, said: "Our message to consumers is that handling the packaging should be regarded as just as likely to cause food poisoning and touching the raw meat.""
Clearly your resistance to common sense applies to bacteria too. Congratulations.0 -

An area of the UK unaffected by carrier bag legislation in those 3 years.
Thanks for disproving your point so succinctly.0 -

A/ How many do you need?
B/ Has any research been undertaken?
C/ Given that it has taken decades for the current research to have been undertaken and published why take the gamble with public health?0 -

More bluster and balls...
Proof man, where is the proof using the same bag or re-using that bag has any impact on cross contamination.0
