I've never seen one - but it's been a few years since I did a "Boot" - perhaps you could get 50P for them at the "Trolley stand" of your locAL supermarket ? - or even a pound at the car boot as "novelty items" - the Police sure ain't goin to pay you !
sadly most of them are slightly fatter or wider, by a tiny bit, than the real coins...so no use in a trolley or car park machine... i have tried in previous times, unknowingly...that's how i found out fakes existed. they look different on the images, some have spelling mistakes and the side wording is written either in the wrong font or not there at all. they weigh differently and some are even quite maleable and a mark can be made with a finger nail! I always check notes at car boot but never coins... plus my 9 year old son had a go at selling too, so they could of been passed to him!
I will be getting rid of the coins today and taking it as a lossI can only assume that the carboot is rife with them and people must just keep passing them around. I am taking them to the bank to get them out of circulation.
I have a feeling I know where they mostly came from. But it is just a hunch. I will do another sale next week and if I sell to the particular group of 'people' I will check all the coins...if it is them I will be reporting them to the organisers(although tbh they won't do anything much)
c'est la vie... regardless of the coin issue I had an excellent sale and have a christmas kitty started
I also found a fake 10p in the pot! My first one of those. It's wafer thin!Make £/day March: £1490.85 / £310

So my Sunday night weekly total is a nice start to the month...road kill 5p, anniversary presents as cash £100, interest at bank £2.17, overpaid £3.14, refund for cancelled hotel room £30, and a fantastic carboot sale today where I managed to make £244.70!!! So a nice start to October with £380.06. Plus I also won £50 in cineworld vouchers, which I will save for Christmas month. I am going to do another carboot sale next Sunday and a specialist one this Tuesday...determined to get a kitty together for December!
I hope that everyone else is having an amazing fundraising month.
I am going to get on with eBay tomorrow and sell the 'good bits' I kept off the carboot stall
Good luck everyone x

you have a plus account, you need to find out when it is due for renewal and downgrade it to a basic account.
they will debit £5 every year for a plus account. you need to buy online using quidco or do some of the free offers, that will credit your account to make it to £5 and then anything after that will be yours.

you could do this offer, but don't forget to cancel before they take the monthly premium
